A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Always need your coffee first @Faith-and-Hope 😁

I'll be moving Toby soon to get some more sleep - very heavy eyes and feeling the effects of little sleep overnight. Hopefully that will give me a little more energy when I wake up to get some things done. It is not too cold here this morning but I have had the heater on all night so that keeps it at a regular temp inside consistently.

Enjoy church Hon ...and your coffee 💕🌹

Re: Far and Away

Had a little nap @Faith-and-Hope and have woken with a headache Think it is going to be more of a rest day for me now but will have some pain meds and see if that helps first. I am going to need to head out to the shop later too and will most likely tke Toby with me. Need to go to Petbarn too for baby food and maybe a trip to Bunnings to get those butterfly stones you saw a while back Toby can come in the trolley with me for both Petbarn and Bunnings so he won't be stuck in the car on his own.

Here's a cute photo for you of your nephew @Faith-and-Hope He looks so peaceful

Re: Far and Away

He does look peaceful @Zoe7 😊

I think the butterflies are sea glass. They were in the same place as river stones and mirror chips, if that’s any help - in small-ish plastic packets.

Re: Far and Away

He does look peaceful @Faith-and-Hope and surprisingly did not move when I got up to take the photo - poor little mite must be exhausted getting his mummy up so early lol

I have looked online for the Butterflies and it seems there are some in stock at my closest Bunnings - next step is actually getting my butt into gear, getting up and getting there - no rush though ...I can always go there and Petbarn later - have enough baby food for a few more days.

My headache has nearly gone which is a real positive but still very tired - not going to push myself today - think I still need the rest. I always seem to crash at the beginning of holidays but am planning on getting things underway pretty quickly so I don't fall into a spiral also.

Re: Far and Away

Yes @Zoe7 her grandchildren named him. He’s a chihuahua, good taste there. She had taught for over 50 yrs, and loved it. Interesting people you meet.

I might be painting with my neighbourtoday, but not sure at present. I too hope she’s ok. But I was told her car was gone yesterday, so hopefully just a misunderstanding.

My girl is on my knee, where else would she be. Breakfast gets served at 4am. 💜💕💜💕 Gotta love the fur babies.

I hope next term is ok enough for you @Zoe7 i know it’s disappointing, putting it mildly, and next year is up in the air. Sitting with you in and through it all. 💜💕💜💕🌻🌻🌻🌻

Re: Far and Away

Thanks @Maggie

I too hope it was just a misunderstanding with your neighbour but still disappointing for you for yesterday.

4am is early for breakfast for fur baby but they do get used to their routines. Cat is certainly the instigator for feeding times and Toby just follows her lol

The sooner I know about next year the better - going to get onto that in the holidays to get the ball rolling. I am needing answers early this year and expect HR to work that out sooner rather than later and will be saying just that when I can get a meeting organised.

Re: Far and Away

That sounds good @Zoe7 getting the ball rolling for next year. When do positions get finalised? Do you apply to schools you prefer, or get placed where vacancies are?

I don’t mind the early start, as I’m awake anyway. In the middle of winter it’s a bit of a struggle though. Speaking of which, we have gone very cold again here. Great storms, with lights and noise.

Yes, I was disappointed yesterday, as I really didn’t feel up to it, and because I was there, I got caught up in a long conversation with another resident. All hard to juggle when things are tricky. But it’s all part of community living. 😩😩😩

Re: Far and Away

I don't know when positions get finalised but I do know transfers were closed a while back @Maggie I am still officially on the list at my previous school so I am not sure how that will all work out - need to discuss it all with HR. Normal transfers you get to nominate preferred schools but my situation is a bit different so I do not know what they will do.

It rained overnight here but has been clear so far today. None of the stormy weather you are having though. Does Mags deal with storms? They don't worry Toby at all.
