I did get some more assignment work done, then we turned on a movie and had some dinner in front of it (those of us who will eat at that time of the day).

I managed around 6 hours sleep @Sans911, which is my baseline ..... so will try to have an early one tonight to offset it.

My mr. sat down to what would ordinarily have been his 2 - 3am “breakfast” before he went to bed, the movie having finished much later than his usual bedtime, with the jntention of sleeping through to morning, so I hope he actually did sleep deep and long. I am not sure yet whether he is up and off to the gym or still sleeping. He is so exhausted that this sort of break in his regimen could make that happen.

@Zoe7 you will likely already be hard at work in your classroom by now. Good to hear that you managed to get what you needed to get done over the weekend, at least enough to make you feel comfortable that you can get the rest done during the week. You're pretty amazing for all you do for the kids ... do you know that? And its pretty clear that the kids respond to your care and attention.

@Sans911 ... your operation seems to have come around very quickly. I trust it all goes really well and that your recovery is swift. Glad you will have support at home when you come home.

@Former-Member ... in response to your question "Whatcha been up to"? 😊 We have had 4 visitors all day Saturday and Sunday. Hubbys brother and his wife from WA, plus a couple of their friends. Not staying with us as both couples had large caravans and so stayed at a nearby caravan park. But they had all meals with us for both days, except breakfast on Saturday. So its all been pretty full on ... trying to organise meals for 6 or 8 with the addition of hubbys good friend (neighbour) and his wife. Most of it has been impromptu because they never told us when to expect them, or what they wanted to do during their stay. So I wasnt able to prepare or be organised as I would have liked. I'm the sort of person who needs to be organised and am not comfortable with sudden changes or impromptu decisions. So its been difficult for me, when it really shouldnt have been. The visitors were good though and helped where ever they could. It all worked out in the end. They hit the road again early this morning, so we said all our farewells last night after dinner. Glad things are back to normal today ... phew .... just need a day with no commitments now. Which ... thankfully ... I have.

@Faith-and-Hope there really is nothing I can say about your home situation. You amaze me every single day for what you endure for the sake of your family, but at the detriment of yourself. I guess thats what mums do ... self sacrifice. But its much more than that. I wish the world had more of 'you' in it, and that the world rewarded those of you who deserve it the most.

Leaky thank you here too @Former-Member . In all honesty, I have met some of the most amazing people I have ever known here on the forums. I know it’s not a rounded out view, but it’s enough to be able to recognise gold when you see it ..... perhaps easier to recognise it without the dross.
