Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Have you got everything else organised that you need to aside from your uni work @Faith-and-Hope ?

Re: Far and Away

Very half baked at the moment @Zoe7 . I like to be a very neat packer, but at the moment my suitcase has been zipped up over all the things I threw at it across the last couple of weeks .... and I don’t know what is going with what yet .....somewhere in the next couple of days I will need to do a complete re-pack, and probably leave half of it here.

This is is where I have to move about in the bubble of time I am in, and try not to overthink anything else, or it becomes completely overwhelming and I start walking into the walls .....

Tomorrow morning is going to be finding the cafe local to here, Sketch book in hand, and doing another visual diary task. I will piece the day together in bubbles of time after that.

Thanks for asking after me 🌷

Edit: Have woken up early with this message not sent. I must have fallen asleep in the middle of it.

The wind was howling through something on the outside of the building all night 🙁. I hope that is owing to the stormy weather and wind direction, and not one of the reasons this place was sold .....it’s goung to be hard to live with if it’s usual.

Re: Far and Away

I actually fell asleep on the couch myself last night and then made it to bed later @Faith-and-Hope I am not surprised you face planted last night with everything you have been coping with and trying to get done before you go away.

I really hope this place you are in is just affected by the winds and weather in the extreme and not a re-occurence regularly for you. You need all the peace you can get in that space.

I also hope you got your visual diary work done and can head into the next couple of days with a focus on getting ready to go away.

Going to be on and off here throughout the evening myself - needing to do some things at home while I have a little energy. Then will spend some time over the long weekend doing a little planning for my Wednesdays. If I can get on top of that early then it will make the days a lot easier. Most of it will be organised for me but there are a couple of things we talked about me doing - one of which is making the solar system out of papier mache - so will get onto that over the weekend to get it started for the kids. Also need to get some of the echidna done but I won't be able to do that with the kids this week as I have my dentist appointment and will need to leave work at 12.30.

Have so much washing I need to do but need washing powder also so that will wait until tomorrow. At least the kitchen is relatively clean - that always makes me feel a little better.

Re: Far and Away

Good morning @Zoe7 ... lovely pic you posted this morning to @Faith-and-Hope ... very fitting.

Zoe it sounds as though your weekend has a few things in it to keep your mind and body occupied. Thats a good thing. Looks like the kids at your school are going to get their solar system under way. It sounds fun, although I'm sure it will require quite a lot of work from you, along with artistic and crafty expertise. Its something I've never done actually, even at school, is papier mache. I guess thats one of the drawbacks of going to a very small school with Kinder through to 1st and 2nd form (Years 7/8) in one room and with only one teacher for the lot. With a total of only a dozen kids in total, there doesnt tend to be a lot of diversity when it comes to an already overworked young teacher straight out of uni. The echidna is another great project.

Looks like a quick shopping trip is in store for you today too, if for nothing else, but washing powder for a load of washing. Good that your kitchen is clean and tidy. A neat and tidy home results in a more ordered mind as well ... at least it does for me.

Did you happen to watch any of the tennis last night? Ash Barty won her semi final, after dropping the first set, and is now into the final which will be played late tonight. That will be 3 nights in a row for Ash (and her opponent as well) due to lost time because of wet weather. I think they need to get a roof on their tennis stadiums, at least a couple of courts anyway.

My Raiders won last night too, they beat Wests Tigers, a good solid win too. Doing well despite losing their rake (real position name got censored .. oops 😲) and playmaker in Josh Hodgson, being out for another few weeks. Had several of our players backing up from origin too. So they did very well.

I'm sorry I havent been around as much over the past few days Zoe, I had a very intense psych apt on Wednesday and its taken a bit of a toll. Plus a few other issues I'm dealing with here at home. But I am watching and listening, so if you ever want to talk, please just tag me and I will be here for you. As you are now aware, I am not leaving for my home visit until Monday week. I also know Faith&Hope will be leaving for overseas prior to then. It goes without saying, I hope, that you have many people here who are very willing to step in and do what we can in her absence. I know its not the same, our F&H is close to irreplacable, but its something. And I do hope you wont just fade into the background. I'm sure you can find your feet here again, and rediscover your voice to enable you to be heard once more. There will always be a place for you here, you are interwoven into the very fabric of the forums.

There is not need to respond, I just wanted to tell you that.

@Faith-and-Hope I know everything is going to be a mad rush for you in the countdown to your overseas trip. I hope you are able to complete the many and varied tasks you need to get done before then. I'm still not sure what day you leave, but I'm thinking maybe Monday? I hope to get the chance to say bonne voyage prior to then. I hope everything runs smoothly in all your daily preparations today and tomorrow.

Good morning to @oceangirl @eth @Shaz51 👋
