Good evening @Emelia8
Yes, I understand your position very much.
Perhaps, you stayed because you followed your own integrity. I think this is powerful and shows great strength.
And yes whether anyone has chosen to stay or leave a narc, the story is never really heard by those who have not experienced this.
Years ago I felt very hurt, when everything I had confided was swept
under the carpet so to speak. It hurt and I vowed to keep my silence.
However, it played against me nicely again. Before we know what we are in, the narc has already found ways to pull us back in again.
I hear you, and don’t feel this was your deficit. I think really it is anything far from such reason.
You learnt to survive as we all do, somedays I damn well surprise myself at all the lies and deceit I listened too!! 😂
Often I’ve found myself really looking at people, each fitting into their own comfort zone. I must say it often really surprises me.
I had an interesting day being stalked, accused and then found an object in my front yard upon returning home, that could be used to throw at a window?
It was carefully placed on some toys I left out for free. The toys had not moved for two days then the object, after today.
🤷🏼♀️ All the same I notice a lot more.
Sorry I had no idea @Faith-and-Hope you are with your ex. I’m trains behind time. But I keep turning up at the station as we do, to get on with the days work. Sometimes forgetting so many things. It’s just not possible to complete it all. I do think evidence for trauma and neural pathways do affect how we work.
As long as I keep getting on that damn train that is always late!! 😂
