Far and Away

I appreciate your lovely words. You know I really am pushing hard with trying to not let the hurts get to me.
As a distraction, my children and I took our little fur baby to the beach this evening, to which she loved as much as we do.
Ever since I can remember I can sit and stare at the waves roll in and out for hours. It really is a blessing for us to live so close by.

We did see another fur baby much like your Hannah on the beach. All the dogs were so happy! 🐶🥰

Awww that sounds lovely @Former-Member . I live about 20 mins drive from the beach and do love to get there once the sun goes down and the people are mostly gone. I am not a people person and not a sun worshipper either. Being a redhead and skin that burns easily I have always sought the shady spots. Also being very sporty in my younger years, it did mean a lot of painful sunburn 😳 But I do love the beach to walk, or just sit look listen and breathe. I find it very restorative. Sounds like you and your family find it a place of refuge and I am glad you have that. What type of dog do you have? I havent taken Hannah to the beach yet, but I will when shes a bit older and the weather not so hot.

I wonder why these type of men don’t ‘really’ get on with their lives.
It becomes fruitless saying anything to them that would sink in. They don’t hear anything that makes relevant sense.
I hear your burden, I’ll hope that magic genie sends them off interstate incredibly soon. 😂

Yes refuge, it feels safer there for sure and yes we go later in the evening to avoid people, and too many other dogs. Our poor little staffy doesn’t like walking, she suffers terrible anxiety about it.
So we tested the beach for her.

She loved it. It was great to see her so happy chasing the seagulls!! She’s a lovely little girl, I hope she does not get taken from us when it all dies down. I expect it might happen, out of spite. I’ll bargain we share time.
I have not frequented the beach much either to avoid people. I once didn’t mind, as I would give anything to go.

But it became a different place, my self esteem was slowly being broken.
Now, when I step back it’s the same old me, light, a free spirit, full of adventure and life.
The thought sometimes enters my mind, how did I become so small. How did I let this happen. I don’t think we ever know this, for most part I often tell people it was consuming dealing with a difficult person. Much time and energy was pooled into one person, who required centre of attention always.🤷🏼‍♀️
I did think I must write a list of all the beach’s I’d like to travel to. Something to inspire and keep me moving forwards and ahead. 😊
