A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

I have Toby's but not Clover's @Snowie She will be good with a cardboard box though lol

I have already done the majority of my shopping. I do it throughout the year to spread the costs. Just a couple of things for Mum's birthday (which is straight after Christmas) to go and it is all done.

I have already done the kids rewards day at school also as I have a few that will be away for this week on early holidays so we did it last week whilst they were still at school. This week we will make Christmas things and just have fun (in between sorting out cupboards and packing). My kids are so helpful though - there is not one of them that does not want to help. Sometimes I actually feel sad that I cannot include everyone but this week I will give them all different jobs to do so they can all have a turn to help.

Hehe @Zoe7 I'm true she would be good with some wrapping paper too!!

I think I just go crazy in December and not look at my bank account!! Hubby says I always go overboard but I don't care, I'm allowed to spoil my kids!!

I'm sure the kids will love this week and everything that is christmas related. They seem so helpful, I'm sure you will miss them but then have some more adorable kids next year to fill that void.

Re: Far and Away

LOL yes wrapping paper would also do the trick - and ribbon @Snowie

Your kids are such wonderful, grounded kids Hon so they deserve to be spoilt ❤️ I go over the top with the fur babies hahaha I am sure there are toys at the bottom of Toby's toy box that he has never used LOL ...and I have put all Clover's in a basket and every now and then I see one or two up the hallway but the rest are just taking up dust LOL

Hubby always says I go overboard @Zoe7 I tell him he could do the shopping if he wanted!!!

I think Izzy has toys she doesn't play with. Might have to cull some. Most normally end up scattered around the house.

I could imagine Clover playing with a box or ribbon. They are certainly amused easily!

Cats are very easy to please @Snowie 🐱 Toby is also - if he is by my side, he is happy (and so am I) 🐶❤️

I can imagine hubby doing the shopping lol - not surprising he has not taken you up on that offer 🤣

Re: Far and Away

I've never owned a cat @Zoe7 but I'm sure both your fur babies are happiest by your side. We only ever had dogs growing up.

I don't think hubby would no where to start!! However it would probably save me money. He doesn't even buy for his own mother, I do that.

Re: Far and Away

hahaha @Snowie I bet he would have no idea what to get then.

We had both cats and dogs growing up. My Dad hated cats but now loves them. His family had always been a dog family so it is not surprising he did not like cats. When my Mum talked about getting a cat ages ago, Dad said he would move out. I told him I would help him pack his bags then as the kitten was coming home. He very quickly fell in love with it.

It's amazing how we just fall in love with our fur babies @Zoe7 It is such a special connection. You're Dad seems like a big softie!!

Re: Far and Away

Underneath he is @Snowie just wish we saw more of that side. It is what it is though and I do not take his sh*te. I probably have the closest relationship to him but I do not see him often. My Mum and sister have to put up with him more.

Re: Far and Away

I'm glad you don't put up with his sh**e @Zoe7 It can be hard to stand up to people especially when it is your parents. Something I need to work on with my mum 😒
