A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Yes one day closer @Snowie but I am going to miss these kids 😢

@Faith-and-Hope @Snowie @Eve7 Had a lovely morning with my kids. They made a whole lot of mess lol but cleaned it all up afterwards. I need to adopt them all just to clean my house for me hahaha We had a procession of kids carrying things to my car - just have to get it all out now but that needs to wait until later after I have had a rest. We packed everything into smaller boxes so I can move them easier. I will still have to use the trolley but that is okay - helps not put any strain on my back.

Sounds like a fun but messy morning @Zoe7 😁I'm glad the kids were able to help you out.

Now you just got to put it somewhere.

@Faith-and-Hope @Snowie @Eve7 @Shaz51 On Holidays!!!!! 🤸🌈🌞

The last few days have been hectic but that usually goes with this time of year. I said goodbye to the kids on Thursday and we had a few tears. It was difficult not being with them all day but I was so sore with packing and moving classrooms that I was glad I was only there for half a day. Some of the kids helped me whilst the rest of the class watched a movie. Yesterday I had more help in moving so it was a little easier. There is a lot of tidying up and sorting out to be done in my new classroom. I left my classroom completely sorted and cleaned so the teacher moving in there just had to bring her things in - would have been nice for my new classroom to have been the same but it is what it is.

My house looks like a cyclone has gone through it but I have plenty of time to sort and clean a little at a time. I do hate the house being so messy but I am too tired to worry about it at present.

Have already been out and done my final shopping this morning and met my Dad for the annual shopping pilgrimage to help him buy for my Mum. It took us less than an hour this morning - which was great because I could do the few things I had to do and be home early.

I will sort and wrap presents this evening (if I can find some space lol), then I will have tomorrow for anything I have forgotten (pretty positive I have everything - just not sure I will have enough wrapping paper/christmas bags).

The remainder of today will be a little housework and lots of rest with my babies - so looking forward to having many days ahead over the holidays with extra snuggles 🐶🐱💕

Sending everyone here a whole bunch of love ❤️❤️❤️

Re: Far and Away

Glad you got all you needed to do @Zoe7 Sounds like you had lots of little helpers!

You were very brave to go to the shops today! They would have been busy.

I'm sure your fur babies will be looking forward to you being home more now.

Do they get a present? I have wrapped up a toy for Izzy and put it under the tree!!

Ooooo @Zoe7 ,

That sounds lovely that your kids helped you move. I'm sure they will miss you if they aren't having you next year. It sounds like you have made a huge difference to their lives. Being a teacher is so rewarding if you can look past the challenges 🙂

How long have you been teaching for?

You deserve a good break @Zoe7 . There's a lot on your plate but I hope this break gives you some much need refreshing and joy 🙂

Take care @Zoe7

Re: Far and Away

Of course they get presents @Snowie 💕 I got Toby's months ago but I can't remember if I got Clover's - I may be dreaming that I did so I better check.

22 years @tyme I did quite a few different things/jobs before I went back to uni to do teaching.

The biggest challenges in teaching is the paperwork. We have so much we have to do for even the small things. The kids though are a joy. I don't see any of them as challenging - just needing to find the right approach. I have been at some really difficult schools but kids are kids - they just need love, care and to feel safe ....then they learn.

I hear you @Zoe7 . Such a joy to be with kids. When I was teaching, the kids were a breeze. It was working with the adults that was the hardest.... and the paperwork!

Go easy on yourself and have a refreshing break!
