We have had a lovely day - so glad I had Christmas at my place as I could 'kick everyone out' and still be home rather than having a much longer day travelling. I slept for a few hours then cleaned up. Toby and Clover must have been exhausted too as they didn't hassle me for their dinner (or they tried and I slept through it). Dad was happy with the things I bought for him for Mum ...and Mum seemed happy too. One more day to get through tomorrow (and I have to travel) then it is time for me to rest, get out in the garden and do some things for myself.

Merry Christmas to everyone - I hope despite the difficulties we often have on these days that you have found a little joy for yourselves also.

Merry Christmas for yesterday, and happy Boxing Day for those who celebrate it, if only for the holiday ……

Yesterday was a very mixed bag for me. Some joy, some sorrow, and blind-sided a bit later in the day. Not sure how to feel at the moment, so just taking the day as it comes. I have plans to catch up with the grandkids, which is a salve anyway ….. and I plan to be here today when I didn’t feel able to yesterday.

Sorry to hear you were blind sided by something that occurred yesterday. I know you likely cant talk openly about it, but it sounds like it had a devastating effect on you at the time.

Definitely hope today is better for you. And yes, spending time with the grandkids will be a salve and a blessing.

I wish I could see my grandkids more often. But sadly, with them all living 6 hrs drive away (each family in opposite directions) I dont see them anywhere near enough. I havent been well enough to drive those distances myself since the month after my husband died last year. And both my stepkids and their respective partners all work full time, so little chance for them to visit me either. And the kids grow up sooo quickly!!

Anyway @Faith-and-Hope I hope today is a better day for you and you have a special day with your grandkids. 💞
