Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Hi @Former-Member

As I said our supports take a break but our MI doesn't. I understand the need for time off work, it probably makes them better at their job, but it is not easy for us left dealing with it all. Trying to put some steps in place to have some sort of support over the holidays.

I am ok tonight, just mentally exhausted from today. Will take my meds soon and snuggle in for the night. Getting lots of cuddles from my dog!

I hope you have a nice night too.

Re: Far and Away

@Snowie I think it is completely understandable ❤️ I know I struggle when my therapist takes a break because I feel like I don't have one of the people I trust most to help me talk through things. Just that alone makes me feel a little less settled. But I know things have also been a little extra difficult lately.

It's so powerful to be figuring out some alternatives already. I would love to hear about them, especially if others would benefit from them ❤️ How have you coped with it before?

And glad you're safe for tonight, and a big rest and cuddles sound like an ideal evening!

Re: Far and Away

Hey @Former-Member Tobes is okay - still in a bit of pain and has a cone on his head. If he is not okay in the morning after his pain relief med then I have to take him back to the vet. He is currently snuggled next to me trying to sleep again.

I have had a busy night - went to several supermarkets to find a roast chicken for Tobes but none anywhere. I could have went further out to a chicken shop but really wanted to get home to Tobes so cooked him some chicken instead. Also been to the chemist. Tomorrow I need to go to the vet to pay some more of my bill and will go to the supermarket early to get more chicken - a couple more days before he can have his regular food to let his mouth heal a bit more.

The wind is even worse tonight and I am not coping very well with it. Going to stay on the couch with Tobes tonight and hope to sleep eventually.

Hi @Zoe7 hope you and Toby are going ok this morning. What a spoilt boy roast chicken for dinner.

I hope the wind has settled down for you today.

Re: Far and Away

He is not allowed to eat his normal food for a few days @Former-Member ...but yes he is spoilt lol

The wind has died down today. We are still getting periods of strong wind but I have been able to get outside on and off in between. My path is coming along - up to concreting in the edges on one side. By the end of today I am hoping to finish the other side as well. Then it will be 3/4 done. I can't afford to get any more pavers for a while to finish it all - have to pay off Toby's bill first - so the rest will have to wait until after Christmas.

What are you up to today?

Re: Far and Away

Finished concreting the edges on one side @Former-Member but have damaged a finger - hope it is only bruised but very painful at the moment - so pathing projected halted for now ...and mallet thrown to the other side of the yard for it's own timeout lol

Re: Far and Away

Poor finger @Zoe7. At least the mallet didn't get Tobes. I'm sure he is happy to have you back inside for a snuggle.

Re: Far and Away

Tobes has been outside with me with his cone on @Former-Member He has been keeping a bit more of a distance today but I did have to rescue him from his kennel (that he has never used) as he went in and could not turn around with his cone on. He tried really hard and it was a bit funny. My old cat used to sleep in there all the time and Clover goes in occasionally but never Tobes. He really does think he is a cat lol

Finger is numb now but I can bend it so don't think there is anything broken - will have a nice bruise though 😥 I have a few more pavers to cut back and then I can concrete in the last edge - but I think I will do that tomorrow. I am tired and sore so methinks a shower and settle in front of the tv for some rest.
