It is good that the memorial is what he would have wanted @Zoe7 I think when a person gets a say in how they will be remembered is a good thing.

I am glad you are getting updates for Toby hon, hopefully everything goes ok for him.

That sounds like a busy time for you @Eve7 I hope they both go well.

Funeral on Thursday, wedding on Friday so not much turn around. A dear friend’s h died suddenly so we’re all in shock.

My niece has rung twice today in tears as she’s very stressed about her wedding. It’s all happening.

I agree @Snowie but sometimes we need something to help mourn. We never had anything for my uncle when he died earlier in the year and I know my Mum is still really upset about it. He was her only sibling and just yesterday she talked about how upset she still is. I know my uncle did not want anything but it would have been nice to at least have family together to remember him.

Still no news on Toby but that must mean it is all going well. They call if there are any issues or complications so fingers crossed I will hear soon that he is in recovery.

Your poor niece must be beside herself - so glad she also has you and you can support her as well. Make sure you look after yourself too though Hon - we all know how hard it is to take on the emotions of others and to keep our own in check for them - it is just as important you take care of yourself ...so glad you have the time off to do that.

@Faith-and-Hope @Snowie @Eve7 @Former-Member @Shaz51 Toby had the two lumps removed and ended up having 2 teeth out. She wanted to take his front ones too but she said we could keep them in a bit longer. I just could not do that today. We will re-asses at his next checkup. He is in recovery and I can pick him up at 6pm. I can't wait to have him home - it has been so weird being home all day without him but Clover has been following me around when she is not sleeping ...even came outside to 'help' me. She really does think she is a dog lol I am going to clean up a bit and have a shower so when I pick Tobes up I can just be with him. Been a long day but glad he is okay and I can finally let go of all the stress.

Glad things worked out with Toby @Zoe7 Even better that you can pick him up later tonight. I am sure he will need the cuddles!!

Have a pleasant evening with your fur babies. Bob cat has hardly move from the air con today! Such a sook.

I have Toby home but he is still very sleepy @Snowie @Eve7 He has a cone on his head and has to wear a t-shirt for up to 14 days when I take him back to have his stiches out. Pain relief for the next 6 days also and a lot of careful cuddles. Have also bought him roast chicken as he cannot have his normal food for at least the next 6 days to allow his mouth to heal a bit. I am so relieved to have him home - the house feels safe and comfortable again.
