@Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @Snowie @Eve7 @Shaz51 I have taken this week off. Spoke to my ass Principal this morning and she already had a feeling I would need more time. I am very comfortable with taking the time - with the draining day yesterday, Toby at the vet today and not feeling well (both physically and mentally) myself today, I think it is very much the right decision - now I can relax a bit also and give myself the time and space I need. It will also mean I can be home to look after Toby and that will give me some added relief. I will use this time to do some more work outside (when the rain stops) and just be with my babies.

I'm sorry to hear you are not well @Zoe7.. Do take it easy today won't you.

I think it is just all the stress and emotional pain taking its toll on me @Former-Member and making the decision to have this week off as well has released some of that stress.

Tobes will be operated on this afternoon so still waiting. His usual vet is doing the surgery and the nurse assisting is also one of the regulars who is also great so I know he couldn't be in better hands. I am sure he will be okay but there is always that little bit of worry.

I have rugged up and been outside for a while - the fresh air is helping but I can only do a little at a time and then need to rest ...but that is okay as I have time to do both 👍 My ass Principal told me to not think about work at all and we can tackle whatever needs to be done when I get back - that too is a bit of a load off. I will no doubt look at doing some catching up before I go back but for now that can all wait - when I am ready 👍

Good idea @Zoe7 and I have this week off too.

I hope you can relax and regroup and be ready for the crazy end of year rush.

I am glad the funeral went as well as any funeral could go. Nice to remember them but also hard emotionally so glad that part is over for you.

I think it is wise to take more time of work, no doubt you need it hon. I hope you can use the time to help yourself both physically and mentally.

I also hope everything goes ok with Tobes.

It was more of a memorial on what would have been his birthday @Snowie He didn't want a funeral so only the immediate family attended. It was really nice to see some of my extended family on my Mum's side. We have not had much contact since my Nan and all her sister's and brother passed away - so to see them again was really nice. I kept it all together (as usual) until I got home and then the weight of the last few weeks hit me hard. I didn't have a good night ...and now waiting to hear about Toby. It should not be much longer though - he was going in about 3pm. The vet will call when he is in recovery ...then the stress and worry can end 👍 He has been having lots of cuddles though - they keep us updated throughout the day which is really nice.

@Eve7 We are twinsies this week Hon 💖 I hope you can get some rest also and pile on the self care.

Yes we are @Zoe7 I have a wedding and a funeral to attend this week.
