A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Re: Far and Away

It has been a ong time since we last chatted like this but it has also been a long time since I have been able to be a little more present here (as it has for you) - so the stars must have aligned

Often the opportunities we are handed come from unusual quarters - and unexpected. Your emploer must see what we do in you though - a strong, capable, intelligent women who has a hell of a lot to offer - so I am absolutely beside myself with happiness for you My job teaching Art came in a similar way - I had done it before but if I had not mentioned it in the initial phone call I had with my present Principal then who knows where I would be now ...her plan became simple - I teach on class for 2 terms until the teacher on leave came back then move to Art and stay on class part-time. I did not know that was the plan until I started (initially just thought it was for 2 terms) so it was both a lovely surprise and one that has worked out so well.

You won't get this until later now @Sans911 but I wanted you to know how super proud of you I am. It really has been an incredibly hard road for both of us but we are still here (miraculously) and finsing our way again. Do not ever underestimate just how strong and courageous you are Like you, there were times I did not think you would survive either but you have continued so many times to pick yourself up and do so much for yourself to move forward. There have of course been times of setback and heartache - but that is life and you have not let yourself be dragged back too far that you could not begin again. You inspire me so much with your will, your strength and your own determination ...super proud of you and super lucky to know you

Re: Far and Away

As a concerned sister I would say take it easy on the wine @Shaz51 but one more is absolutely your choice - especially with so much going on. How is your Mum and Mr Shaz? Are you able to take some time out for yourself?

Re: Far and Away

not having anymore my awesome sister @Zoe7 thank you for caring for me xoxo

My mum is showing more signs of dementia and getting more fraler and needing more care

yes my specialist would be saying no more to the wine or beer xx

I forgot to ring the specialist to see which covid19 needle is best for me

Love to have the week end away

trying to decide wheather to rebuild or to buy a house 30kms away

In response to: Re: Far and Away

Re: Far and Away

Probably a wise choice @Shaz51 👍

It is a really tough decision my sister - 30km away would take you away from your Mum and with her increasing demetia and frailty it is a long way away to be on hand quickly - then re-building takes time and so much energy ...a very hard decision

Re: Far and Away

it is my sister @Zoe7 and I also own half of mum`s house which is central to everything and where we are living for the last nearly 8 months

and to rebuild on our house block would be too much stress for mr shaz

I myself would ne just happy to stay here !!!!!

Re: Far and Away

I did wonder if that was an option you would consider @Shaz51 I know it is hard to think of a life without your Mum but that day will come so you have to spend as much time with her as you can but also look towards the future. Is the upside of not rebuilding or buying elsewhere that you and Mr Shaz could stop work - at least minimise it as much as possible?

In response to: Re: Far and Away

Re: Far and Away

yes i would stay here no problem my sister @Zoe7

and our jobs are around this area for now until mr shaz can retire in 6 years time

and we still have our shed on our land also

In response to: Re: Far and Away

Re: Far and Away

Maybe you could rebuild and rent it out @Shaz51 (but still have access to the shed) then you could stay with your Mum
