I got a bit teary across the afternoon @Zoe7 .... but I am out walking at dusk now, and the river is a beautiful pale pink ..... ❣️ Nature is speaking to me ......

I will have down days. That is natural to my circumstances, but S2 came home with a smile on his face this afternoon. I chatted to him for a moment about the CBT .... he said it is hard, but he can see that it is good, and positive, and challenging, leaving him very tired. I washed his sheets today so he will be collapsing into a clean bed tonight, and hopefully this is all improving his sleep patterns naturally ..... he woke at 7am by himself this morning.

I asked whether he was enjoying what he is learning, and he said yes .....

That is such great news about S2 - progress in small ways is still progress and him coming home with a smile on his face today is so positive

I was actually talking about you with my psychiatrist today. It was in regards to the routines I am trying to put in place later in the day when it starts to get dark. As you know I have been 'going up the ladder' (lol) a bit lately to photograph the sunsets. I told her 'someone' posts sunrises and I try to post sunsets when there is one worth posting. But what it does do is allow me to think about the beauty of nature and how peaceful it feels as the sun sets - then I feed my babies and get dinner. This means my attention is on really practical things and I am not alone with my fears. It does seem to be having an effect. Some nights are still really horrible, but there are some that are more 'manageable' now also. So in a way - YOU have helped me without even knowing it

I still get triggered by the smallest things but just a little respite from my fears around the darkness is positive.

I got bits and ices sleep .... probably around 7 hours, so that will do.

Found that WH had needed a "hottie" (pad that chemically heats up and you put it in your pocket to warm your hands in the snow and extreme cold) to sleep with last night. He uses them to go jogging in our climate .... 😳 .... and is not staying warm enough under blanket and doona in flannelette pj's ....

LOVE my present for today ..... ❤️

Heading out for my walk, after putting the first touches of colour onto my new canvas ..... 😊👍🏼
