A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

I need to lie down @Faith-and-Hope I really don't feel 'right'. Really light-headed and nauseous - think it might be the extra meds I took. Hopefully I'll fall asleep and sleep it off. I'll have to check out your images later.Hope you get some sleep soon Hon. Talk in the morning

Re: Far and Away

Oh the bookshelves @Faith-and-Hope I totally get it lol

I also still have some boxes left unpacked from when I moved. I only moved down the street and around the corner - which was great for me because the only thing that changed was the place I lived - everything else could remain the same (I really don't deal well with change!!!) So the little things like where I shop and the route I take to work etc. remained the same and that made it a really easy transition for me - plus it was MY house and I didn't have the additional 'worry' of having to 'answer' to an agent or landlord (not that that had ever been an issue - I had been there for 16 years!!!)

I can only imagine how hard it has been for you - with WH's controlling 'issues' - I 'had to' let my sister's fiance help move some things when I moved here and it really messed up my 'system'. I had been doing most of it myself and that meant I could move things in an order to be 'put away' as soon as they were moved. The problem with having 'others' 'help' was that nothing went where it should have and that made it so much harder to sort out. I ended up asking for everything to be moved into one area but that meant nothing was together - ie. all kitchen boxes were mixed up with bedroom boxes etc. and stacked so I couldn't see the labels. It really was more a hindrance than a help - but what do you do!!!!

Re: Far and Away

Good morning @Zoe7 ..... 💚🌷💕🤗

I think WH being the workaholic he was before meant that, although he would level criticisms about the way I arranged or operated things, he could generally be talked around easily enough when I explained what I was doing, and why. My systems made sense, and kept our busy lives running fairly smoothly.

Once he retired and the e.d. "exchange" took place shortly after, it became a different story. Within months he had seemed to change personality, value system, etc .... but these changes were also masked by issues with kids schooling, and our extensive travel arrangements. I have worked out a couple of things about that too ..... I think he has a need for distraction and excitement that is being met by our travels, and the more limiting aspects of travel seem to help support more positive relationships between us because it causes us to all have to pull together to meet the arrangements, and we don't have the "distraction" from that of our individual life commitments.

When our married kids come with us, it's also an opportunity to re-engage the extended family dynamic, and it places his mum within that dynamic ..... all tick boxes that seem to also feed or appease his condition.

I think there is going to be a multiple diagnosis here somehow ..... trying not to think too far ahead with that either ....
