A challenge I would think 😕 Hope this is a time yo rekindle some first love maybe.
Any good churches to visit there? Did you go this morning? Love ancient architecture and history. Churches are great for it. Hugz xox

Hi @Zoe7 .... 😊💕

I see your ideal future job as an implementer of the Daniel Morcombe child safety curriculum in your state, as a visiting educator working with staff and children for awareness days or modelling lesson plans through a variety of art-based mediums .....

Re: Far and Away

@Faith-and-Hope I would only like to do that in the south of the state - wouldn't want to travel any further - couldn't stay away from my babies too much. It was discussed that it could be a 1-2 day a week job - and them maybe continue teaching the other days. That was nearly two years ago that this discussion was held - still no movement from the State government re: the implementation of the program though. I still like the idea of the kid's themed parties - I'm thinking now we could also have educational themes with science and art. Kids love experiements - the more mess the better lol

Re: Far and Away

I trained as a teacher @Zoe7, and come from a family of teachers .... I hear you ....

Maybe you can start again slowly with say, the children's parties .... just do one or two initially, and see how you go ? Working a couple of part time jobs could suit you ....

I had a friend who trained as a nanny, and in clerical, and switched between the jobs on a temp basis as she travelled .... suited her well

Re: Far and Away

I remember you trained as a teacher but didn't finish because of .... circumstances!!!! @Faith-and-Hope

I am starting to think more and more about NOT going back to teaching - not as I have been doing anyway. It is too consuming - maybe it's just that I'm not even close to being able to go back - not sure - but I definitely don't want to do that job at the moment.

I'm not having such a great night so it might just be me being negative - at least I don't have to make any decisions for quite a while yet!

Re: Far and Away

And I am pleased for you about that @Zoe7 ..... that you don't have to worry about it at the moment.

I figure my painting is going to be coming to the fore again soon, with WH's return, even though I don't feel the energy for it at the moment. Once he is back here and being controlling about my use of time, my artwork becomes my shield, if I can engage with it enough.

Maybe start researching kid's party planning ideas and see whether that engages your creative brain .... have you seen the wide variety of face-painting ideas out there ?

Re: Far and Away

Morning @Faith-and-Hope I hope you have had some sleep and have some energy today

You asked me a while ago - when you lack energy - to remember to remind you to just breathe ..and take it one step at a time today. Find the joy in the little things - focus on what you can 'control' in the moment and deal with everything else when you can!

I am having a similiar issue with not being able to engage with my painting atm. It is combination of a lack of motivation, being tired and not being able to sustain focus or concentration on anything for too long. It is disappointing but I need to ride this little period out - just as I have had to before so many times.

I am going to look for an image - or try and think of a concept - that we can both engage with - how does that sound to try and get you motivated - as well as me?
