I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Under 2 weeks left to the holidays @CheerBear and very much looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be nice weather still so I can get some things done with plenty of rest thrown in. I do have a lot of appointments and the panel I am on to deal with also in the holidays but should be okay to deal with if I pace myself a little.
I taught the kids how to use cookie cutters as plaster casts so they could make just about anything they wanted and then decorate/paint them after wards - it really was great fun for the kids but super messy ....I loved it lol
I can imagine those tricky conversations were/are hard but they need to be done knowing what you will all have to face - so hard but necessary. It is good for the kids to be able to create those quality moments with unwell one as well - they will be memories they will carry throughout their lives and are so important. We never forget the positive people in our lives and what they have given to us and I do believe that a little part of them follows us throughout our lives as a result. You are all lucky to have such a positive person in your lives and knowing that time is against you all you can cherish what little time you all have left - that is a positive - it is so much harder when things happen suddenly and you don't have the chance to say goodbye in your own way.

You will most likely get this post later @CheerBear but I am going to write it anyway...
No matter what time you may have lost it is being made up with all the wonderful times you are now having. This time you have had is precious and although you would like it to have been more you can cherish every single minute you do have now. There is no point looking back with any regrets as that just takes up valuable brain (and heart) space that you all now need to have and remember those wonderful moments. Live for today CB because as we know life is never assured and what the future holds is unknown. You are in a unique position to be able to spend this time now with unwell one knowing that every single minute is valuable - and valued. Hold onto those times and you will be able to look back on this time with them with fondness and love

I felt kind of bad that I giggled at your post yesterday @CheerBear . That kind of stuff is hard at the best of times but I know with how tired you must have been and being a single mother those things can really get you down. (The times when you get extra mad at their father for being a .....insert word of choice.....and for you having to do it all).
This was one of my agggh times I look back fondly at now. It is obviously many years ago. After being hosed down I put them in the bath which turned black and by the time I’d cleaned up the mud from the back door to the bathroom they had decorated the bathroom up to the ceiling in muddy water. Needless to say that I wasn’t as fond of that memory then as I am now. I know your mess was a heck of a lot more chaotic than mine. I hope one day it turns into a good memory.

No need to feel bad. It was kind of funny yesterday after I was over it (and I saved the table, blinds, floor, Big's desk etc lol) 🙂 I cried at the time, a lot for the reason you mentioned above - that being a single parent is so freaking exhausting sometimes and so frustrating to have it fall all on you to deal with. I know you get that one too.
I've been thinking of you today as I ponder garden stuff. For the last couple of winters we've spoken about flowering pretties in pots and it's inspired me to give it a go (especially as I have a couple of spare ones thanks to flying backyard play equipment hurting my plants).
Hope your ultrasound goes OK today.
