Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

just checking in.

my weekend was topsy-turvy but ok. Yesterday I had the most productive day for a while and was exhausted but couldn’t sleep so took some sleeping meds and am now on go slow but it’s a peaceful go slow. I’m psyching myself up for drinking a lot of water for an ultrasound in a couple of hours. Sooooooo scared I won’t be able to hold it......and yes after 4 kids my pelvic floor is a little weak......giving way to my fear that I’ll pee my pants in the waiting room 😳😬😯. I think this ultrasound is overkill and I’m not worried about it but am having it to keep my psych and GP happy.......there isn’t anything wrong with me, the glitch I had has corrected itself.

Hope to catch up with everyone through the week 💜🤗

Re: Just checking in.

After a fairly non-stop time since Friday morning, I was also calling by to check in. Nice to see yours just as I logged on @Teej 🙂

Ugh for the u/s. I empathise thanks to misbehaving insides and a pelvic floor that didn't enjoy growing or birthing chunky babies. Good side of it is hetting to stand crossed legged at the desk as soon as the appointment runs overtime, saying it needs to be done asap or there'll be a puddle - it tends to get them moving 😉😆 Nice to hear you're having a peaceful go slow day ❤

I've had a mashed up few days with lots of busy and lots of needing some time out now to settle. There has been some great (family heart to heart chats) and some not-so-great (kids trashing a good section of the house during an enormous brain fart involving glue, baby oil, paint, glitter and instant snow while I had a quick nap - my face was 😮🤪😡😳 when I woke up). I have a quiet afternoon and quiet-ish day tomorrow and am looking forward to that.

Off for a wander and catch up around the forum. 👋 and ❤ to all 🌈

Sorry @CheerBear , couldn’t help but giggle about your kids brain fart 😜. It’s much more entertaining when it’s not your kids 😘. Glad for all the heart conversations.

Your turn to giggle at my expense. Just turned up to the appointment to find out it’s tomorrow 🤦‍♀️. I will go through all this tomorrow 😳.

Oh no @Teej! That sucks! It's the day for it maybe - I rocked up to an 8:30 meeting stressing I was going to be a few minutes late to find out I was a month early 🤦‍♀

Little wrote the loveliest apology note that I found on their bed last night. It made up for the hours of cleaning I had to do (almost). Giggling a little about it today 🙂

Re: Just checking in.

@Teej @CheerBear You both gave me a giggle during the day reading your posts. I think the other people in my office space wondered what I was laughing at but they didn't ask - which was good because I would have had to explain that it was non-work related

CB your house seemed like it was very simialr to what my classroom always looked like - the first thing I always taught my kids was how to clean up - they could make as much mess as they liked as long as they cleaned it all up afterwards ...and the cleaners used to know that it would be done and they wouldn't have anything left to clean - suffice to say we were a very popular class with the cleaners

Re: Just checking in.

Haha @Zoe7 😁 We have a similar rule but we've never encountered a mess quite like this one before! Instant snow (it's like mini versions of the crystals inside disposable nappies) multiplies and grows with water but the glue needed water to wash it off! The baby oil made it all like I was on ice skates walking around the dining room (floorboards) trying to clean it up. I had no idea where or how to start. Bonkers 😳

Hope you've had a good day today. Missed you the last couple ❤

Re: Just checking in.

Apart from glitter (cleaners absolutely hate glitter lol) the plaster making was the most mess we made on the floor. Plaster is so hard to clean up once it has dried so we had nearly all the class on hands and knees washing a small section each - it ws funny to watch when I look back on it but not so great t the time @CheerBear The kids loved making things out of plaster though so it was worth it.

I have been bit missing over the last few days - only answering tags in between footy watching and resting. It ws a very relaxing weekend though and feel better today for it.

I red about your middle with unwell one - that sounded like such a heart wrenching but also good discussion - you must be so proud of your kids and the way they are handling everything - no doubt in my mind at all that they get that strength from you - you do such a wonderful job with your kids CB
