Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

Your words and support helped this afternoon @CheerBear I was certainly not in a good state there for a while. Haven't had to have a prn for a long time but felt it was necessary this afternoon otherwise I think I would have spiralled down very quickly. I think it also helped me to make that call to HR which certainly relieved the stress a little.

I look forward to see how your LF went today Hon.

Going to watch the cricket and record MAFS so will be around on and off tonight.

Re: Just checking in.

I’m picking the report up on Tuesday @CheerBear , then I can read it. I’m hoping I might just sneak one more appointment with her in before my assessment so I may be able to discuss it with her first 🤞🏻. Then I need my GP and therapist to write some as well. Therapist still prefers that that I try for DSP but I know my psych is not having any of it.

Looking forward to fish news😊 (not the kind at menindie lakes 😖😠, just read about the report today 🤬). I’m gathering it will take a while for the bananas part to settle down.

Re: Just checking in.

One more appointment before the assessment would be good if you could @Teej. I'm guessing it is pretty soon then? 🤞it is a helpful report for you. I'm very thankful my psych and GP were on the same page. It would be difficult to have two different ideas/opinions.

My fish news felt great this afternoon and now I've lost it in a very 😴 head. I took a call from my big after school sounding very confident saying they'd would meet me at the train station after catching the bus there 🙂. They did it and felt very proud for it. They had a fabulous day and have already started looking in to things they can get involved with at school. They'll have their ups and downs I'm sure, but they're in a good place in a class with kids they have a good chance of fitting in with well I think 😊

Middle and little came home as balls of emotions. One (my more social butterflyish one) was upset as their friends aren't in their class so it is the actual end of their world. The other came home upset because apparently everyone is bigger and can run faster. They were both full of tears from the moment we got home and looked exhausted, though my suggestion that maybe we were all a bit tired was met with giant shouts of "I'm nooooot tiiiiiiirrrrred" (a clear sign that's exactly what they were) from both.

It might take a bit to get back into it, but we'll get there. Today was a great start really and I'm pretty sure the teary ones did have a good day, even if they didn't feel it when they got home 🙂

I hope the rest of your evening is good for you. I'm tired (and will happily admit that unlike the snoring soundly smaller two I have 😉) and am off to try for an early night.

❤

Re: Just checking in.

It's right here @Teej 😁 I'm just slowly feeling my way around the board. Once I've moved to my new home I'll have time to catch up properly. I'll be living in a small caravan for the next month.
Wonderful to hear from you 😜

Re: Just checking in.

Thanks for your thoughts @outlander. I took a forum free weekend to clear my head and get some other stuff done. All is as well as it usually is 😉 Busy day ahead but I will try and catch up on how you've been going later on today ❤

@Teej thinking of you as usual. I logged on looking to see how your weekend was but I don't think you've posted. Check in when you can and would like to? 💚

Re: Just checking in.

Brain went bang @CheerBear today but is slowly coming back. nothing and everything happened. Turns out I really really really suck at dealing with stress. Who knew! 🤦‍♀️😳😮 Flipped and eventually :sos_button: my therapist who put me back together.....although it took hours after talking to her and an emotional sleep off to understand it all enough and find some human. I couldn’t string a sentence together earlier.

How are you? 💜🤗

@Kurra thanks for my howdy 😘. Hoping everything is ok with your transition to your new home. Would love to hear about new dog at some stage if you still have them. 💜🤗

@outlander Thanks for your hi. I read some stuff from your posts and know things aren’t great. I hope today has been better. I wanted to reply the other night but you would have had a stream of teej fix it stuff and I know that would be so unhelpful and I had to sit tight lipped :face_with_rolling_eyes:. 💜🤗

@Zoe7 So great reading your post. Did I mention that it was so great reading about your day today 😘💜🤗

Re: Just checking in.

Hugs for your brain going bang @Teej 🙁. I get the really really really sucking at dealing with stress thing. Was it a c-link related bang? Good job sos-ing therapist and glad she helped put you back together again. I hope this afternoon/evening is kinder to you.

Not so great here either. I'm tired and trying to keep overwhelm from taking over, but sucking at that. I feel like I'm go-go-going more than I need to be but I can't seem to stop it. I feel like I run then crash then run and crash. It's to the point where people are noticing which maybe isn't the worst thing but there's not much anyone can do (aside from reminding me that no-one can afford me crashing spectacularly and I need to get my s&%* sorted asap - not so helpful but I know was meant well). I have an NDIS meeting tomorrow and am hoping to be able to get some more support soon. I am feeling a bit lost without it now.

Big ❤ (as I head out to do the dinner thing)
