Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Hey @outlander, @CheerBear, if you are still around, I am now too.

Morning @Mazarita 🙂 How are doing this morning?

Re: Just checking in.

Pretty good at the moment, as is often the case at this time of day, @CheerBear. Very still night out there in the courtyard, no wind, just the first inkling of light in the sky.

How are you this morning?

Re: Just checking in.

I was just thinking similar thoughts to you post @Mazarita 🙂 Like you I too am feeling pretty OK this morning. I had a difficult night last and it all caught up on me a bit, but I slept and feel calmer again this morning.

How was yesterday for you?

Re: Just checking in.

Good to hear you are once again feeling calmer this morning, @CheerBear.

Yesterday was pretty good. An indoors day, another hot day, with some aircon to keep me as dry as possible. I remained in a fairly feral state most of the day, though I did throw on a little sun dress instead of staying in my nightie all day. Spent most of it working on the computer on various projects, which is what I planned doing yesterday morning. Satisfying to be moving through what needs to be done with my current projects.

Re: Just checking in.

Good to hear you were able to stay cool yesterday @Mazarita. I stayed in my pjs all day, except for about half an hour of school pick up stuff.

Great that you're getting through your projects. You have and have had a few going lately and it seems like you're managing to keep the stress of having a few happening under control OK?

I finished my little project yesterday. I'll upload it below and see if it gets approved while were both still here. @outlander may have fallen asleep but I wanted to share this one with you also if you see it (this one won't stay up here and I'll edit it out later).

Here is the very special to me one I worked on yesterday

Re: Just checking in.

Your craft piece is so beautiful, @CheerBear, and moving. No words, too much feeling.

With the video projects, some are actual videos, some are related projects. I am managing them very well, and enjoying the process of them all. It feels great to be so occupied actually (but without the stress I experienced with the failed commission a little while back).

Re: Just checking in.

Thank you @Mazarita ❤ (and thanks for the speedy approval to whoever is moderating). As soon as I put her on the shelf I was hit with feelings. I'm glad I had that to make a 'be' with yesterday.

So happy for you that you're finding your groove with your projects. That's a big difference to how it was feeling a few months ago. You can sense the better place you're in through your posts lately. Go you 🙂

Re: Just checking in.

Yes, that was very fast image moderation. I appreciate it too, moderator.

I am imagining you making that lovely creation yesterday, @CheerBear, and imagining some of the feelings that might have been arising for you. Seems good that you are able to own those feelings while they are happening, and find some meaningful ways to express them.

The way I crashed a few months ago with that video-gone-wrong was awful, but the experience seems to have helped clarify a few things about how I want to work creatively into the future. Somehow this has built my confidence, I think. I have a bunch of projects I'm planning for next year that will evolve my creativity in some different directions, as well as continuing what I have been doing over the past four to five years.

How's today looking for you?
