Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Re: Just checking in.

Mr Buddha and I are down South for 4 days.I heard from someone who lives on my units yesterday and wrote to my son while he is at my unit.

It's to not be too involved with people's problems. My son went to take care of our home and on Saturday, he went to visit one of my neighbours and supported someone through a very difficult phonecall from his children.

I wrote him a text last night and said ' Dont get too involved with other people's problems. Feel like a space around you when you ar talking to them and feel yourself standing strong. But congrats for holding yourself well in a difficult situation.

I don't know if this has any little nuggets of interest in there for you @CheerBear.....I barely remember what it's like to have children in school .......the glory of having adult children is that you forget all the bad times ...lol

Hiya @PeppiPatty, was posting at the same time. How are things for you? Was very surprised and angry to read mr Buddha was rejected from the NDIS.

Hugs for the fighting @Teej. That sucks heaps. Tension and arguing brings my scared and alert out and I would have found it hard to sleep too 🙁 I had a giggle (though feeling for you) with your sympathy cramps. I'd prepared myself for a pretty horrible few hours following that medication last night but looking back, I don't know if any amount of preparation could have had me ready for it. At least it was a good distraction from the emotional pain of it all (that's a stretchy one 😉). I hope it settles for you soon too. Sounds like both of us have hormones that are having a great time at our expense at the moment 😏 I'd hate to think what state I would have been in with another many months of it.

Big has so much on, and so much I would like to share but can't. Its why if I was going to do this it needed to be now. I am so looking forward to being able to enjoy it all without the extra worry and sickness. Totally present on the ship that carries me is how I plan to be through the next bit I think ❤

Also hugs for the scattered. Tired is probably playing in to that also I would imagine. I'm wrecked but OK and having a very quiet one too. I even drove the kids the three minutes it takes to get to school so I didnt have to get out of my pjs today! Cat hasn't left my side and I have been playing with my hooks and yarn. It's as good a day as I could have hoped.

Hope the rest of your day goes OK for you Teej 💗

Hi @PeppiPatty. Sounds like wise advice to son 🙂 Nice to know the bad times can fade over time ❤ Hope you and Mr Buddha are enjoying your time down South.

Re: Just checking in.

Lol for the driving in pjs @CheerBear. I didn’t discover that one until one of mine was much older but I have been extremely blessed with my kids and schools. They lived one house down to their first school, about 8 houses down for their second and the school bus picked them up from 3 houses down for the last part. It was about 9 months I had to drive youngest and then I sometimes did the driving in pjs and it was an hour and half round return (90 km) 😲☺️. And some mornings to work until he got his car and license.

Really glad youve got some self care stuff happening. I’m going to go start my day I think 🤔😳.

Edited - feeling insecure about my joke, written with endearment but feels judgey seeing it on paper. Was just mucking around but it’s so much easier in real life to work out if someone took it in the context it was meant. I hope it didn’t hurt. I really was just trying to make light of it all for a bit. Will crawl back in my hole now 😳🤦‍♀️

Re: Just checking in.

I’m ok @PeppiPatty. Not great, not bad. Oh my goodness I think I must be in the grey part, not one extreme or the other 😄. Have started slowly decluttering and tidying up my house which was NOT good and had been neglected. It feels like a step in the right direction.

Yes the NDIA seems to have got it sooooo wrong on so many occasions.

Wishing you the best for today. 💜🤗
