Just checking in.

Just checking in.

I thought I'd start a discussion where we can check in with members and use this space to keep in contact. It's a space to be able to say how you really feel and it's a space for the good, the bad and the ugly moments in our lives.

Been there, done that .... yeah, the prep is the worst part ... "lite" anastaetic and you're asleep, then awake again before you know it .... and don't feel any different other than a bit drowsy for a while ....

Have all sortsa cancers, autoimmune sh/t goin' down in my family .... lost an aunt to bowel cancer after she had battled br#ast cancer with double mast. .... lost my mum to scleroderma (rare autoimmune) and their baby bro had a recent scare with bowel cancer - caught early - as was my melanoma .... as was cousin's breast cancer ....

Worth having the screens ....

@Former-Member hi buddy

What's happening for you today? Why do you need a laugh?

Re: Just checking in.

Hi @Zoe7

Thanks for your concern. Things came to head between my daughter and husband the other day and did get nasty. Daughter has pulled her socks up a little - but it's my husband, he isnt himself and I feel very alone at the moment. I am not feeling the love. I have been extraordinarily strong and loving and feel I don't deserve all this. I am wondering why I bother. Sorry to be such a downer at present. Tomorrow is another day and improvement may come.

Re: Just checking in.

Sorry to hear that @Former-Member

You don't deserve any of that. But I do love your attitude - tomorrow is another day - just get through today

It is so difficult when you get caught in the middle of two people you care about that aren't getting along. You can only do what you can do and the rest ultimately has to be for them to work out.

Even though you may not be 'feeling the love' at home - there is a lot of love for you here

Have you read the latest two posts on our awww NUTS thread - might give you a laugh - even if it is just for a little while.

Thinking of you and hoping that things improve for you at home - you deserve some peace and happiness
