not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

@eudemonism @BlueBay @Owlunar @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member @Zoe7 @MDT @Bunniekins I am a terrible financial manager. I need to learn the numbers. After a long day toiling for mum. Didn’t get much appreciation. I think freeing myself from the bird cage is a lonely journey. Even my mum is not in it to support my independence and positive confidence. Feel a deep loss. Like losing both parents.

I will get a cup of tea and try to do some exercises.

Thanks for care and support.

Exercising between cups of tea sounds like a great lifestyle to me.

@Ineed2live4Riss .

I feel so lonely all the time even though, my 2 sons are with me, i still feel it and abandoned, cause I'm shy, introvert social anxiety with BPD, socially I'm a mess with people can never start a conversation. I have done so many groups around anxiety and BPD, it sounds good but when I tryvto put it in practice I just feel stupid trying to think of things to say, im in my late 50's now and instead of getting better I notice it gets worse and feel more isolated, and when I try to explain it, people just don't get it and think i just use it as an excuse and to snap out of it. My kids still don't understand it and get angry with me when they want me to go out to shops or answer phone calls or when someone knocks on the door. I think today is not one of my better days and just needing a friend

@saturnzoon

Even though our children mean so much to us, they are another generation. I need adults who have some similar experiences to share in order for me to feel a connection.

We are a combination of different experiences and it makes sense that we need different people to mesh with our different aspects.

Recently I have been reading "The Awakened Introvert".

For a while I was trying to be my son's bf and being more blokey and extrovert than was comfortable. Climbing quietly back into myself.

Wishing you strength

Re: not feeling good

Hi @saturnzoon I'm sorry to hear that it's been a hard day for you.

I'm introverted & shy too, I also have some social anxiety.

I also have complex PTSD, which makes me easily triggered by some situations.

I was extremely shy when younger, fortunately for me less as I got older.

I know that feeling that way is not an excuse at all - I sometimes get a huge shock when someone bangs on my door, & I don't want to answer it.

I've been told (many times) that it's harder for us to make friends & develop social networks, as we get older - regardless of any extra MH issues (that make it even harder).

So it's not just a personal struggle, it also applies to many people.

I'm socially isolated too, not by choice. Groups & social outings just didn't amount to anything, in terms of connections or new friends.

Hugs...

Adge

Re: not feeling good

@saturnzoon sorry to hear you are not feeling well. It’s not easy. Hope you will find some soothing things at home. You have been good support and care. I am sure there will be people who value your input in their lives. Support groups are hard. May be consider just social groups and take it slowly . I joined a choir a month ago. Still don’t know people and scared my singing is no good. But may be over time, there could be opportunities to connect with other members there. In real life, it seems a lot harder and takes a lot longer to connect. But we have got the forum. I was feeling anxious before, not knowing what to do with myself. Now seems better after reading your post. I am sitting at home feeling at a bit of peace since my psychologist session yesterday.

Hope the evening roll out better for you.

And you will find some peace soon.

Take care.

Re: not feeling good

@Adge @Agree with you social isolation must be a big thing in many people’s lives. People fall out of main stream for different reasons and at different times, stages of lives.

There would be dark periods in all people’s lives when they can’t find any friends.

The world is cruel and harsh.

Lots of struggles Day to Day . Harder when we get older. We can only do our best.

Think make friends make a long time if we persist. May be we need to be in activities that interest us long enough to make some connections.

Hope you will find some things interesting to do and make some connections along the way.

Take care.
