not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

Your GP should be up with the details to access further sessions via medicare @BlueBay - if he isn;t then he can find out for you - it should not be your job to deal with this - that is what we pay the professionals for

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. Your gp or psychologist can apply to extend your sessions under Medicare. As @Zoe7 says. Check with them.

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay im in a similar boat. My gp says you (i) cant extend it to the extra sessions so atm im looking for bulk billing psychologist ( who continue to bulk bill outside the mhcp) or one that does reduced fees

Re: not feeling good

Yeah it's difficult isn't it @outlander

I just wish the government would increase the amount of sessions per year. It's ridiculous 10 is not enough.

It then puts so much pressure on us because we still need to see our psychologist but can't afford it. So what do you do?? It's a difficult one.

Good luck in your search for one.

Re: not feeling good

10 sessions will cover something really basic (if your lucky) is ridiculous. @BlueBay
i guess all we can do is keep looking for options that might suit us.
good luck in your searching too, though i hope your gp can help you out abit more

Re: not feeling good

I googled last night the mental health sessions and you can only have 10 per year. So I'm stuffed. I can now longer see my psychologist every fortnight as I can't afford it without a rebate.

So I guess I'll have to see her monthly which will be disaster. Because I won't be able to wait thst long in between sessions; I'll have too much of a build up of mixed emotions. I'm not going to cope. So I thought last night what's the point in going. What's the point in even seeing my psychiatrist. And what's the point in taking meds or even seeing my doctor.

I'll tell my doctor tomorrow thst there's no point in therapy in medication in anything. Because every time I find someone good things go wrong. And if I did manage to get the money to pay fir fortnightly sessions then we would really struggle each fortnight more so than we are already. Which means more stress pressure I don't need. I can't handle extra stress.

My thiughts today are nit clear but there's no other way I can see this at the moment.

Feeling very frustrated and uncertain 😥

Re: not feeling good

Hearing you @BlueBay ....

Talk to you Dr and see what happens .....there may be further options, as @utopia said.

Re: not feeling good

Please talk to your GP @BlueBay - there are additional options available but you need to discuss that with your GP. There is a provision for extra sessions under a review of your treatment plan and there is also the Chronic Diseases Management plan that may be applicable for you too - please discuss both with your GP as both of these are medicare rebated.
