not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Thanks @Shaz51

@BlueBay

I went through that many years ago , starving myself, taking laxatives, diaretics etc and I'm still well I would say chubby from the waist down - big bum and big top of legs (runs in the family) but I did lose weight slowly over the years and it wasnt conscious. We both decided my partner and I to be more healthier, cut out lots of "processed" food and margarine, I cook most stuff from scratch and make healthy chocolate sweets now etc and just by changing those things I had lost weight. Personally I think its the processed foods because I still have full cream milk, yoghurt and icecream but its good organic dairy and have not put weight on now. But its getting a bit more challenging now as I go through peri-menopause. You start to get a bit of a round shape but I'm always conscience of it and try to be good. I hate gyms and all that type of excercise but I do loads in the garden and play with my dog. I have developed habits like taking stairs instead of lifts etc so I can fit in a bit of excercise through the day. But when you do starve yourself it actually works against you as your body thinks you are starving and starts to slow your metabolism. Eating small amounts of healthy foods is better for you. I eat a lot more now than I used to when I was "dieting" but my metabolism is better and I have realised diets dont work you need to change lifestyle habits.

@BlueBay I was always ridiculed by my family for being a chubby kid, even though they are the ones who stuffed the food down me, kitchener buns, soft drinks, biscuits and lollies. I was fat at the age of 8 and was called "cream puff" at school. So I dont have a good self physical image of me and actually avoid looking in mirrors but I know I'm healthy my bloodtests reflect that and the GP always comments on it so at least I'm healthy and I feel thats more important.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

Yes - those "mother DVDs" are the pits - my mother was always having a go at me because I was skinny - and I ate a lot

We naturally change shape as we grow older - and a little extra weight is insurance - you need a little extra in case you get ill and then your body has some energy available

But we can get too much weight - but as others have said - this can cause an image problem and you don't need that

It's interesting to read - as you peel back the layers of the things that bother you the problems are starting to have things to overcomes - eg - getting rid of that house - and having a therapist who will help you come to terms with your horrible mother -

And as for your weight - it depends what it is - but as some one said - cut back on certain food and add in salads and fruit

I try this all the time - and it's long term habits that help - we do have to eat though -

And watching TV ads can drive you crackers - half of them tell us we are too fat and others are telling us how great junk food is

Can't win with that

Re: not feeling good

Sorry @Shaz51, I'm oblivious and concrete headed but what happened yesterday? I presume you're okay? Any plans for the rest of the week?
I've just finished my 1st day back at work. All I did was clean out my inbox (and I'm not finished!) but it was a nice gentle introduction back to work. And the office was empty so I could relax a bit more. 🙂

Hi @Former-Member

Hey - I like that name and the fossil of a massive marsupials with two huge front teeth - fantantist

But I like the little wombat (which is also a marsupial with two big front teeth) it's pretty and cute

I didn't know all of that but I looked it up - really interesting

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. Thank god. You had me worried.
Some days I get that you feel like sabotaging everything. But you didn't. You went to bed and slept. You are doing brilliantly. Rant here when you need to. Say what's on your mind. So long as you go to sleep or walk or knit or colour.
How was today? You back at work tomorrow or Thursday.

Re: not feeling good

@Decadian, you have no idea how excited and happy this post makes me!
One big, one little marsupial with two big front teeth. You're right on the money (my thinking pattern that is).
What's your favourite animal?
