not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

We all care here @BlueBay

It really sucks that you aren't receiving the support you need from your psych and GP but we will always be here for you because we love and care for you my little yellow flower.

I know I have not been around much for you but I do think if you often and do read what is happening - just unable to respond sometimes (I know you get what that is like).

I get my meds weekly now - it used to be daily - but I have to see my GP 3 times a week and she is still monitoring me closely - very closely! So I do get the 3 day supply and think it is a really good idea for you considering how you have been feeling lately. I think that is him looking out for you so it does show that he does care BB.

...still sitting on your shoulder...

Zoe

@BlueBay

I hear your anger.

Do you have someone, a friend, a support worker, that could help you find another doctor?

I'm sorry your feeling that way.

Love to you

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. I think that's your psychiatrist stating the boundaries that he wants to work in. That's what he is comfortable with. It has nothing to do with you. It's simply his needs.
However, I can see how it affects you and the type of support you desire.
Could this be why he recommends the CAT Service in between appointments?
So he has increased a medication that you are currently on. Does this medication help with hallucinations?
The new medication - is he giving that to you now? Or is that only if the increase in your meds - doesn't work? Sorry, I'm confused about that.

Re: not feeling good

hi @BlueBay

your psych was jsut stating the boundaries. i ahd the same thing happen to me a few months ago. i emailed my psych one becasue i needed her and she told me over the phone that if i need to contact her to ring reception and leave a msg. i too thought this was horrible but i tried to see reason that if all of her clients constanlty rang and emailed her she would be forever worrying about emails instead of the task at hand.

please remember hes not abandoning you, it could also be the boundaries that the psych federations have as well and thats what he has been told to do as part of his care for clients.

i agree with @utopia there that maybe hes trying to give you the best support he can while mainting the boundaries. the CAT team can help you 24/7 where as he cant.

sending you lots of hugs

Re: not feeling good

Hi @Zoe7

I get my meds weekly in a pack, made up at work. These new meds that he is thinking of are, I guess, quite dangerous if i take them all at once. So that is why he wants me to pick up every 3 days because i guess he doesn't trust me yet. But he won't give me these just yet, he will try increasing my meds first to see if they work.

Don't worry about not being able to help and support me, you just get your better xxxooo

thanks for being my friend on here and for sitting on my shoulder

Re: not feeling good

Hi @Former-Member

I have this new GP who I am guessing is setting boundaries as well. You see it is my BPD that is why i am trying to cross over the boundary of contacting them (psych as well) or trying to see them more often for help, to talk to them, for care etc etc.

And this is why it is so so difficult for at the moment because of these boundaries that I can't phone them, I can;t see them (except for appointments and sessions) that I am struggling, I feel so abandoned.

And it hurts, I go back to being a child. and i cry

And that's why my psych says to me yesterday i can't email him anymore (which i haven't) or call him because if i do he will respond "call the CAT team".

I feel so alone, so lonely and so abandoned.

That is my one biggest fear, my one biggest hurt and it is so real.

My GP is fantastic, i really do like him; but at the mometn I hate him for his boundaries.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @utopia

My psych recommends the CAT team in between appts and if i need him in betweeen appts.

he won't take my calls or answer emails anymore at all. he has increased a medication, he will see how it goes for a month. if that doesn't work, he will change it and give me a new one. but will only give me enough for 3 days because he doesn't trust me and it is quite dangerous if i take all at once. increasing my medication will hopefully help hallucinations. also coming off one other medication will help my pins and needles as that is what is causing it. does that make sense? sorry i am a bit everywhere.

i think he is trying to get me to self soothe without calling him - but i am finding that really difficult in the middle of a crisis or in the middle of an emotional heightened frightening episode. Easy for him to say just self soothe. like to see him do that.

Because of my BPD it is so difficult to understand and work within boundaries but they have to be made. i do now understand that. he needs that otherwise i will break the boundaries every time.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @outlander

I'm trying to see and understand my psych's point but it is so difficult because when in crisis or emotional all i want to do is ring my psych for help. he wants me to self soothe or ring the CAT team.

Hopefully one day i will be able to self soothe and not grab the phone.

Boundaries is so tough especially with people who have Borderline Personality Disorder.

Hope you are doing okay. Hugs to you

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. Yes he needs you to self soothe. It's important that you use your box of self soothing tricks. Not easy at all. Takes practice. But you will get there.
Hopefully the increase in your medication will help stop the hallucinations. It will just take time. And that's frustrating, because we want things to be 'fixed' asap. And it doesn't work that way in mental health.
What are your plans for today?
Me, I'm staying in bed and keeping warm. It's grey and wet and cold outside. I might read some more of the AA literature.

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay

it is very difficult to not jump to call him, i know and understand that. keep using the CATT team, have them on speed dial if that makes it easier and more inclined for you to give them a call.

its not only hard for you not to call, there are many others too and when in crisis the first person people call are the people that they think can help even when they cant.

please try to self soothe ok, whats some of the things that usually help you?

is there anything you would like to try as a new coping strategy? somtimes adding a new one adds abit more excitment and encouragment rather than the usual ones turning boring if that makes sense

hugs xxx
