not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

Hi @Queenie

I want these voices to stop NOW. I am going to go and watch some tv with hubby. I hope they can stop for a while. I will tell my psych tomorrow when I go.

It's just a whole heap of different voices, so loud altogether chatting. too noisy in my head.

gee i wish they would all shut up. i am sure it's because i stopped my meds.

it's all my fault.

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. Voices in your head is not normal for you and your MI - is it?
If this is different than your normal MI responses - then definitely call the CAT service now. It may be a reaction from your meds - going off and going back on. But it could also indicate psychosis risk. Which I don't believe you normally have.
Psychosis can occur to many people with MI's. I know at one point while I was in hospital (2nd admittance) - I was close to the point. Was starting to hallucinate - which I'd never experienced before. I was just lucky I was already in hospital.
If the voices don't stop soon - I'd suggest getting your husband to take you to hospital. Better to be supported there, than struggle through a night on your own.
And the last thing I would want for you, is another diagnosis and something further to deal with. Not wanting to scare you. But am concerned for you.
Sending you my best wishes.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @oceangirl @utopia @Queenie @Shaz51 @Former-Member @Owlunar @NikNik @Zoe7

I saw my psych this morning and after the weekend's hspital stay I was expecting a 'telling off' by him. I was not feeling too great, still having these hallucinations little bit last night and this morning.

He said first and foresmost that I should not have stopped my meds and that i should have waited until this morning's session to discuss the option of stopping or coming off some or one of the meds before doing what i did (come off all of them at once). I think he wasn't impressed 😞

He said what i did was something serious without thinking (can't think of the word) (it's a BPD trait) and without thinking of the consequences and no boundaries at all.

I didn't even think of any self soothing techniques to help me at all. He said this is an unconscious mind from my trauma seeking out care, love and nuture that i did not get as a child and now seek it from others and this is my way of seeking and getting - from medical. He said it is a maladaptive behavious, an addictive behavoiur just like drinking and smoking. I need lots of intensive pyshcological therapy to get through this.

He also said that if i didn't get through this he would have to refer me on to the public health system. he is going to contact the CAT team and wants me to contact them if i need any help.

I feel so bad at the moment, I feel i have let him down, let myself down, my GP down, my family down.

i know what i do; but friday night i was psychotic, i was hearing voices - that really did happen. i didn't do it on purpose; i didn't do it - just to get help. it really happened. i am not an attention seeking person. that is not me.

teary today as i write this, i feel so ashamed to write all of this; i need care, love, i know some of you will say i have it right here at home. but i need to find what i really want.

i miss my dad so much, i wish i could have him here with me.

maybe if i just did go away, no one would miss me;

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. Your last comment is what your psychiatrist was talking about.
You self sabotage. When what you really need and want is the opposite. Care. Help.
You didn't mean to cause the psychosis. But it happened. And now you need to work on getting better, so it doesn't keep happening.
You can do that. He told you what needs to happen.
So can you follow through on his advice? Can you do the intensive psychotherapy?
I think you can. I believe you have it in you to start healing. ♥♥

Re: not feeling good

And we would miss you @BlueBay ..... we missed you when you were in hospital and not chatting here ...... but we knew you were safe, and that was the most important thing.

Still, it was so good to get the message from
NikNik that you sent through her for ius.

Friends care. That's what they do.

@utopia @Faith-and-Hope

I'm going to really try to heal, i am going to try to get fit and healty too.

I just go through these bumps every now and then ad they scare me and push me around and i hate it.

my mum is in the background haunting me and i hate her too.

i get very scared, vulnerable and fragile.

i feel for my little child in me.

i am seeing my psycholgoist tomorrow and will chat to her about what happened reg. hospital stay. and i will suggest fortnightly sessions so we can have intnesive therapy.

i will be very honest with her so she knows how i feel. even if i am embarasses and ashamed to tell her i have to tell her so she knows how to help.

with my GP, i have an appt this week so i will be very honest with him too. so he knows how to help me too.

i won't leave, i think you guys know that i won't - i think i say it because that's how i feel when i get so frustrated, angry and emotional not knowing what to do - but deep down inside i know what to do.

think i wil go an do some crotcheting, i am doing a blanket for my new lounge. then maybe a rest before hubby comes home.

chat later on. i hope both of yhou are doing okay.

hugs to you both.

Re: not feeling good

I knew you could do it @BlueBay.
Your way is to try and run away. My way is to drink. They are both ways we use to try and cope. When in reality, they cause us so much more pain.
It is hard to work through our issues and feel our pain. And deal with it. But we both need new coping strategies, if we are going to survive this thing called Mental Illness.
I'm trying now. Day 65 of no drinking.
You are trying. Honesty with your treating team.
We will both make it. We are stronger than we feel. We have support. And we are cared for in our Forum Community. ♥♥
