not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

Hi @utopia

I haven't really stopped myself to ground myself with breathing. I just want to leave and get out of there asap. It's like I feel something bad will happen.

But with the driving I have just realised that it's becoming a problem.

Yes I will tell my psych tomorrow when i see him. see what he says.

next time it happens in a shopping centre I will sit somewhere and tell myself it will be okay, i am okay and breathe slowly.

it's hard to do when your mind is racing with these other thoughts.

Re: not feeling good

@BlueBay. Yes it is hard to do. But it's not impossible. I think that's why it's important to focus on your breathing for 5 minutes everyday. That way, when anxiety rears it's head in a public or not so public space, you can then say, "I'm safe here. There is nothing to harm me". and then do your breathing. You will have to stop and make yourself focus on your breath. That's why when I'm out anywhere, my friends, family, even my 14 year old, knows to remind me to breath. That it will pass. That I will get through. That I am safe. To breath.

Can you sit down now somewhere comfortable and practice this tecnique? It does get easier with practice.

Re: not feeling good

Hello @BlueBay,

That sounds exhausting always being in fear and constantly worried, I think it would be very helpful to talk to your GP about your medication and maybe for now avoid things that make you feel overwhelmed or anxious? You could also maybe focus on things that help you feel calm and grounded, are there any things that help you do that?

For me, I really enjoy listening to music and watching travel documentories which take my mind off negative things and allow me to focus on the present and more exciting/positive things, I also avoid watching the news, reading newspapers and listening to the radio if I can.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

It really sounds as if you are on thoughts-overdrive - too much happening

I know what it's like to be overcome with noise - everyone talking at once means I can't hear anyone - really uncomfortable - it's when I have bad pain - and I sweat like crazy - and I have to get out of there - whatever or wherever it is

Excess noise is hard to deal with -

However because the cause is different I don't know what to suggest except I try to keep away from places where people talk at once - but I know - it hurts your ears - I am sure

Back later - I have to go now

Re: not feeling good

Don't worry about replies @BlueBay - you need all your energy right now

I seem to remember you saying ages ago that you had abandonment issues - and so with so many changes happening you are bound to have nightmares about loss

Talk to your psyche tomorrow about your medication in this situation - and for more understanding about the nightmares - then that is better with your psychologist

Such terrible dreams and nightmares - I read about such imagry when I was studying the Psychology of Literature at university - really enlightening - but alas - we can't pick up a book when we are having the nightmare

But yes - I know about the noise thing -

Morning @Owlunar

I think you are right in saying that my mind is in 'overdrive' too much going on.

And i can't stop it. Again last night another disturbing dream, and these dreams are always at my childhood home, i don't know why. It was horrible and scary.

Woke up unsettled with a slight headache again. i have a feeling my headaches could be coming from my neck, must go and see a physio/accupuncture.

I went to bed last night and put on a sleeping meditation on my phone. it was good and got me off to sleep but during the night i kept waking up and couldn't stop thinking.

and the more i try to 'not think about stuff' the more i was not getting back to sleep. it's a vicious cycle.

i think i will have a chat to my psych this afternoon and see what he says.

how is your back @Owlunar?

Morning @Zoe7

I read in your post that you haven't had much sleep. I hope you can settle your mind and get a restful sleep today. I am so happy to see that you are painting, you're so talented.

I am off now to go and put a piece of lamb in the slow cooker, the kids are craving it for dinner!!! LOL

I have a psych appt later this arvo, so i will be back on here later to check how you are.

Rest up beautiful
