not feeling good

not feeling good

At the moment i am not feeling good. i feel like my body is in 'run away mode'. i feel my body is running on a high, my head is so mixed up. i have to go to bed and try to sleep, but don't know if i can.

my hormones are everywhere at the moment; my mood is sky high negative. i can't deal with this anymre. all of a sudden i am not feeling good. i think it is anxiety.

i don't know why i feel like this; i just want to cry but can't becsue everyone is home. i am going to bed. i don't know what is going on. actually maybe it is anxiety because i felt like passing out today.

I went to my GP to have my mirena IUD taken out as I had had enough. But he couldn't find the string, so he sent me for a ultrasound. Had that and the guy said i had two fibroids and a cyst on my ovary. but he couldn't find the string either, so had to have an xray to find the metal piece. they didn't tell me anything. but while waiting i was so anxious i almost passed out.

so now i have to wait for tomorrow when my GP will call me at work and let me know what will happen now. hopefully he can take the mirena out. i don't know.

my body is reacting to my anxiety - i feel so shaky, i need to stop. no point telling anyone at home becasue (a) they won't believe me and (b) they prob wouldn't care.

sorry, i had to tell someone. i feel so alone 😞

Re: not feeling good

Hi @BlueBay

I am glad you are getting these tests done - and your hip and back sound really painful and I am glad you will be having surgery on your carpel tunnels - that has been holding you up for a while now and fortunately you have private insurance and won't have to wait

When you say things like you will never get better and things will not improve you are setting yourself up for what's called a self-fulfilling prophecy so when you do find yourself unemployed again etc you wiil tell yourself you knew it all the time and this is just not good

Your doctor is right about you going to work because this does use your time in a healthy manner and you need to tell them that your doctor has said you shouldn't be lifting anything heavier than 5 kg and I am pretty sure of that myself - I was thinking though - can you get a trolley and load the frozen bread into the trolley and move it that way? That might now be possible but the bottom line on the subject is with the Health and Safety people and they can help you with that and you can't be sack for that - it's very hard to give someone their orders in this day and age so my idea is not to worry yet

You are actually very lucky to have a job right now and yes - I do know how hard it is to keep working with so much pain because I did - and it was horrible but I wanted to work - I was single at the time and did get onto the DSP and if examination of your back means you can't work you can go onto the DSP I am sure of that - but wait and see - you do have a bad habit of worrying about things all the time and I have heard you - negative head and all that but to find a happier life you need to change that - and it can be done - and you only have to try and change your thoughts once a day about one thing at a time to begin with and you will feel better - I know - I was not always so positive

And nothing can be all your fault - you really need to have that communications thing with Huffnpuff and I know he is unwilling but do you really want to stay so angry all the time

I have been thinking about what you wrote yesterday all day - we all confront tough stuff at times and the future can seem very bleak and COVID-19 is making it harder of everyone - life isn't easy but most of us will be around on the other side and it will be different -

You will be okay - you have been battling with pain all this time and it goes back a long time - it can wear anyone down and I promise you I know this - you need to find out what it is but working as long as you can is the best way to go - and you reaally do know this

And I say again - it is not easy - right now very little is

Still care and think of you a lot

Hi @Owlunar

I'm so confused right now. I spoke to my doctor earlier and he said that I might not need surgery. He wants me to go to work don't tell them and keep lifting. What the????

i can't keep doing that. No way. I'm not going through what I did last weekend. I was in a lot of pain.
I am a good and hard worker. I take pride in my job.
I can't work like this. And why should I pick up the boxes that are so heavy.
then my doctor says let's wait until Thursday when the results Come through. I'm seeing in Thursday morning

he then says don't tell work yet. But the neurologist said to do light duties.

I'm so confused. I don't know what to do. I'm stressing.

hi @Owlunar @Maggie @Faith-and-Hope thsnkyiu for your support ❤️❤️❤️

Hi @BlueBay

I am not going to tell you to ignore your doctor but it the neurologists has put you on light duties then that would be a good idea

I would be checking with my doctor regarding conflicting advice - yes leaving it until until Thursday would be okay if you are not working tomorrow is okay but that heavy lifting isn't good for your back, hip and wrists - So please check with your doctor again

Re: not feeling good

Trouble is @Owlunar i am working tomorrow in the shop floor (not bakery) 11am-5pm.

I feel like taking tomorrow off.

im really unsure of what to do.

I wish my dictir was more understanding. I know he thinks wirk is good for my mentsl health. Yes I agree. But not when I'm in psin bevsuse then my mental health goes down.

Re: not feeling good

Work is good for your mental health @BlueBay but so is making your own mind up about this

Only you know how bad this pain is

Does working on the shop floor mean lifting heavyweight items you already know are likely to be over weight

If I were in your place I would check with my GP before I went to work tomorrow - you need to make this your decision

Re: not feeling good

I know @Owlunar at the end of the day it's my decision. When I spoke to my doctor earlier he suggested I syill hi tomorrow.
he hasn't seen me at my worst with my back pain

he hasn't seen how I struggle to walk

I don't know. I will see how I feel in the morning and if ok I'll go. If not I'm not going.

Re: not feeling good

Hi @Owlunar

there's not so much heavy lifting but a lot of twisting and turning. not good for back either.

I've woken up this mirning with leg and hip pain so I'm stsying hime. Called work and told them not coming in.

At the moment it would be very hard to wirk without doing more damage.

Im doing what's best for me snd my health. I can't always worry about finances. Let hubby worry.

have I gone in the wrong industry to work?

today is my rest day. And if work is angry - well I don't care.
