Re: Feeling lonely around people

@Former-Member, I guess my pain isn't valid because people are worse off. It is way worse to feel lonely around people than it is to be lonely and alone

@creative_writer

Be grateful you can read and write

Be grateful you can use public transport.

Focus on placements.

Not everyone has that opportunity

I have suffered the pain.

I had to beat it by shifting my focus

Now please study. As l say, you can read and write. You say you battle studying. Focus on maybe one hour, or 30 minures but achieve as close as you can

@Former-Member, I should shove all this trauma and bipolar depression inside, be a machine and get on with things

Hi @creative_writer

Different people will advise different things

I found God.

I trusted God.

I know you are of faith from our chats.

I am not saying it is blunt as shove it away because it is there.

I am saying manage to function as best you can with the condition you have.

Blind people use a cane or guide dog to get around.

Paralysed use a wheel chair.

Many use medication.

So intead of Shove it away, try parking it away for a few hours

@Former-Member, sorry I overreacted. My passive aggressive brain got the best of me

Re: Feeling lonely around people

Hi @creative_writer

I do not have a problem at all.

We have to toughen up and I did not mean to upset you.

So I am also sorry.

I seriously appreciate your apology.

But as a lived experience person I know we do get upset.

Those who try and help us are like walking on eggshells

So it is hard for them too.

I replied politely and was proud of the Park it idea.

Sometimes to me it feels like no one hears my issues.

They do hear it. But there is only so much they can take and all the time we are explaining, we have to try and function.

But we all have to "park" issues to function as best we can.

If you prefer I do not reply, let me know. I am very hard to offend.

I think you are amazing because you are alert and great in replies. Assertive.

I am not a counsellor

I always work with you to "park" it for awhile

I really want progress on placements.

@Former-Member, I know you didn’t mean to upset me, sometimes I do get irritable. Physical and emotional pain is a double whammy, but I do need to learn to control it so I don’t end up lashing out. I can be hot tempered, but you probably can’t see much of that on the forums. I have landed myself in uncomfortable situations before due to me losing my cool and it appears to be an overreaction. In reality it’s just pent up frustration over other things too. Like I could rant about some mundane issue, and it’ll seem out of proportion, but most of the frustration is coming from the deeper issues

Hi @creative_writer

I enjoy our chats.

Pain. Anxiety, faith, Meals

I want to confirm here you are not really talking to counselors as such.

My understanding is we are Lived Experience.

I am trying to show you how I have to put my issues aside and try and move forward.

I tell myself, do one thing at a time.

I still have issues.

The goal is to manage them as best we can and not let them manage us

If I did not have anything happening, I would not be on the forum recently

I was asked to do something on the weekend. I said I am not in that space to do it.

But I did many other things.

I have not got one issue with you at all. None.

I am black and white. I have found some Grey now.

At first I thought you were.

So please, move on

What is one small goal for you tomorrow?

How are placements position going?

@Former-Member, I enjoy talking to you too, you give a very unique vibe. Do you mind me asking. Are you neurodivergent or neurotypical? You don’t have to answer. I’m neurodivergent, just learning to accept it. I know the forums have others with lived experience, I guess I experience a lot of sense of isolation, I feel so different from people in my life, it’s good to be able to relate.

I have class tom. I need to study. Fit in a full shower, my hair was washed last Friday. Do you have plans for Tom?

Re: Feeling lonely around people

Hi @creative_writer

I am not neurodivergent or neurotypical.

But l think many things many go through have the same principles like.

Being heard and listened to.

Supporting.

Encouraging

Understanding

Knowing the emotional strain of duscussing and descussing.

Accepting there is no Magic Pill.

Knowing we are all unique.

Knowing we cannot let our issue consume us.

Knowing many people have issues worse than us and are happy to hide it to go forward.

We all hide things. I wear clothes every day. Hiding is good

Good luck tomorrow.

I may catch you tomorrow

Please try and shift your focus to the good things.

They exceed the bad
