Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 you'll do fine with the presentation and Q&A

You've conditioned yourself to think negative thoughts, so now you have to stand up and say I CAN do it. One thing I learned when I started doing public speaking is the very simple speak into the mirror. Also, record yourself on your phone and listen to it. That way you can detect whether you are talking too fast, which is a habit of nervous speakers.

Lastly, focus on something at the back of the room and not the audience.

These are all techniques I learned in theatre arts and public speaking. Take the advice hon, it works xx

Re: Not Coping

Just reading your post, the thing that came to mind was the possible loss/grief/loneliness that comes with bullying possibly leading to a sense of abandonment? What do you think @Birdofparadise8 🌺🙂💜

Re: Not Coping

I've been speaking with KHL @Former-Member

She doesn't seem like I have any abandonment issues.

Nothing has happened with my parents or other family or friends.

It's mostly just rejection.

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 what do you think? Are you afraid of people leaving you? Maybe consider your attachment style with your parents. Have you ever felt abandoned when you went to them when distressed? These are questions only you can answer.

@Former-Member I’m a bit scattered brain, but I’m holding up. Still have plenty of adrenaline going. I know the come down won’t be so good

Re: Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 abandonment isn’t always clear cut and sometimes it’s hard to fully grasp things, and sometimes you have to explore yourself to understand. Maybe start with asking are you afraid of people leaving you? That’s abandonment. Are you afraid people won’t accept you for who you are? That’s rejection. I fear the later. I’m not afraid of being alone, I’m afraid of not being accepted for who I am

Re: Not Coping

Is there anything that’ll help with feeling a bit scattered, in terms of settling @creative_writer ? 💜🙂

Re: Not Coping

So just rejection @Former-Member

What are your thoughts.
