Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

That is so good to hear. If it works, definitely go for it 🙂 @creative_writer You also have to check your eligibility - depends on your postcode.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Hmm okay well all I can hope for is if I’m sad now and going through depression then hopefully when I’m a bit older and learnt more skills and how to cope with it I will be able to handle it better @tyme

Ah okay @creative_writer I hope everything starts to work out for you.

Re: Tw Not Coping

I’ve been using the guided service @creative_writer @tyme I think it is so good I get to have a weekly check in with my peer worker and then a session with a counselor, but I’m not starting that as I needed to wait to find if I could see this specific person anyway it’s good to be able to have that support through the guided service and I can email as much as I like and my peer worker gives advice and other things.

If I were you, I'd definitely give it a go @creative_writer - if it's not for you, you can then pull out later - it's totally voluntary.

@Birdofparadise8 , I think recovery is about one's willingness to give things a go. Sometimes, med take time to work. Also, environmental factors play a part. There's so much involved in recovery.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 I remember being your age, I was very impulsive and I did tone down with age. I even stabilised at one point with therapy and medication. Even though my mood has destabilised now, I am nowhere near as impulsive as I was then.

Very much so @tyme my medication doesn’t seem to be helping still it’s been the 6ish weeks and I’m feeling worse if anything luckily I have a GP appointment next Tuesday to talk about it.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Do you know why your mood has destabilised now for @creative_writer if you don’t mind me asking though at least your not as impulsive

Re: Tw Not Coping

Takes time to find the meds for you @Birdofparadise8 - I tried so many before I got on the right stuff. Then the dosages had to be precise. It's a lot of trial and error - but in the long run, it was worth it for me.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yeah I hope so @tyme I need something in my life to go in the right direction. Also I find out my results on Friday and then I find out if I get into La Trobe on the 1st of Jan.
