Not Coping

Not Coping

Hey everyone how are you all?

@RiverSeal @Shaz51 @NatureLover @tyme @Former-Member @Eve7 @Former-Member @amber22 @Jynx @FloatingFeather

I'm not doing great at all today. I'm feeling down. I also keep beating myself up for everything and feel like I'm just failing. I need a break from everything. It's getting so hard that I don't know how to keep going anymore especially since I can't talk to anyone around me as they are leaving me or don't understand.

Hope you don’t mind me reaching out I just really need a chat and though I could come on here and vent and talk for a bit.

Thank you

@Birdofparadise8 It'll happen... you are doing really really well. Totally as expected. Please don't think your journey is 'abnormal'. Mental health has its ups and downs.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 maybe I’m not used to going out. I guess my physical pain and mental health also cause chronic fatigue.

@tyme at the moment I am just trying to figure out my needs. I have a counsellor and psych right now. I see the counsellor in between psych appointments, so essentially on the weeks where I don’t have psych appointments. My psych appointments are three weeks apart. So sometimes I’m like, am I getting too many people involved in my care. But I have been struggling a lot, SI can get intense.

You can have a peer worker on the guided service instead of a counsellor. In a way, maybe just connecting with someone on the Guided Service can make a real difference?

You Guided Service goal can be simply to connect with people with live experience so you feel less alone? It doesn't have to be some elaborate goal. @creative_writer

@Birdofparadise8 need to work on my mental health because I feel like it makes physical pain, like migraines and other general pain. Though I could try lifestyle changes to manage physical pain. My joints are so flexible so need to work on stability. Mental health and physical pain is interconnected, one of my meds helps with mood stabilising and migraines.

@Birdofparadise8 , even it you have more downs - that is for this period in your life. It doesn't mean it will stay this way.

I had mainly downs in my 20s and early 30s. Now, it's all mainly ups 🙂

I are making progress. I can see it.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@tyme I think connection is what I need right now. I feel so isolated and lost a lot. I guess I need to work on feeling less guilty for seeking help. I even feel guilty over how often I reach out to helplines, lately been finding myself reaching out most days. I get so overwhelmed, and then I tell myself I am being too needy and dependent. Am I becoming needy?

Re: Tw Not Coping

Goals can be different for each support you have @creative_writer - so most certainly, the Guided Service can be a point of connection or debriefing about what is happening.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@tyme I probably need a space to debrief and connect. I’ll fill in the form and see how it goes. I have found SANE helpline really helpful for moments where I felt isolated and very overwhelmed. Just talking through things can calm me, and prevents me from escalating to a crisis state.
