Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Precisely my point. In a way, having to work Saturday and Sunday may be favourable to you @Captain24 .

Let's see how it pans out. Remember, I'm here 🙂

Sorry @Captain24 and @tyme

I have honestly been flat out and just got to see your reply.

And it was a great reply. Reflection is such a powerful tool. I personally feel that learning give us options and i feel like when i read some of your story, what you have learnt has given you clarity to think and feel about MI in a way that makes you the hero of your own story, rather than the villain.

Hi @AussieRecharger

My team keep telling me that I’m very self aware of what’s going on and how I’m feeling. I think it’s from being on here and journaling every night.

My only hope is that I can make it through this journey safely. Some days I’m not so sure.

My social phobia is starting to kick in. I’m shaking and scared to go to the training day for work.

Re: I can’t cope

It’s been a really long and hard day. The MH section of the training day triggered me and I had to walk out when they were talking about suicide. Now that’s all the thoughts I have.

I saw the psychiatrist this afternoon, in person not Telehealth, and some of my meds have been increased, some removed and others added. I still have the bipolar diagnosis plus anxiety but not any personality disorder.

After the appointment I talked to the nurse for an hr about how I’m currently feeling and todays trigger. She wanted to put me in hospital for the night but I resisted and promised to email her in the morning. We also talk about my SA but she doesn’t want to risk going deeper into that until my mood is stable. At this stage I feel like it never will be.

Re: I can’t cope

Awwww @Captain24 . I'm sorry to hear the MH side of things was very triggering. Yet I also have to acknowledge that you set your boundaries and was able to walk out.

In terms of juggling your meds, I hope you will find some stability soon. Psychiatrists do mainly handle meds.

The 'personality' side of things is mainly support through psychosocial supports, psychology, peer workers, counselling etc.

I'm happy to chat to you tonight. I'm on this evening. You are not alone.
