Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Oh @Captain24 .

No no, I've already made the lighthouse diamond art. The colours are all pastel, so it's not very good at all...plus, the small size.

And yes, if you have a picture of Pix, it can certainly be a reminder for you.

I was thinking to put some words on my diamond art.... not sure yet. But something to remind me of strength and resilience. A quote.

Sorry @tyme I miss read that.

I quote sounds inspiring.

How has your day been?

Re: I can’t cope

No stress, @Captain24 - all good. Maybe I didn't make myself clear.

As for today, I actually feel soooo tired! I'm not sure if it was the wedding that I haven't recovered from? I think it really takes out more energy than people realise - but I'm sure you understand what I mean. Adding to that, I'm re-adjusting to Daylight Savings. Absolutely love it, but with an accumulation of activities, and Daylight savings, I am feeling it!

I'm just thinking about dinner now. I'm wondering whether to get a Happy Meal for my nephew because he has slept and stayed in his bed all week. When his older sister first slept and stayed in her bed for 5 days straight, she got a Happy Meal... so my nephew wants one too. He's only 4 years old. Poor thing. But their parents hate giving them junk food, so I have to honour their stance.

When's your next shift @Captain24 ?

Re: I can’t cope

I completely understand the energy @tyme. I spent 16hrs in bed!

You have had a big couple of days and daylight savings always makes things harder. Hope you can find some time to reset.

Happy meal sounds good.. you sound like the cool aunt! Junk doesn’t hurt occasionally.

Im have homemade Tacos at mums for dinner.

Im suppose to go back to work Wednesday but I have a GP app and an app with the MH nurse. So I go back Thursday.

@tyme , @Captain24

We don't have daylight savings up here but our mobile phones were set in Sydney time --- so we got a surprise this morning when the alarm went off at 5.30 am 🙃

I often find it challenging talking to members living in other states who do not have daylight savings. @Shaz51 I can understand why though. But for us here in Melb, it really does help with the extra sunlight.

@Captain24 - 16 hours! Well done! I think I'm feeling a bit better now. I've rested today. As for Happy Meals, the kids don't get it much so it's a REAL treat for them.

@Captain24 , do you have any plans for the days up until Tues at least? As for tacos tonight... um! Do you have the shells or the soft tortillas? I find the shells for Tacos mean the 'meal' is a snack lol. I somehow associate corn chips to snack food.

Re: I can’t cope

I think I needed the 16hrs @tyme. Last night was really hard to make it through. At least today I’m feeling a little better. I still need to be very gentle with myself though but at least I recognise that.

I have the ‘snack.’ 20 years ago I had the hard shells so mum still thinks that’s what I want.

Tomorrow is a public holiday so the town is way to busy to leave the house other than the walk. It’s also school holidays. Living in a tourist area is horrible. I don’t even get why people come. Yes it’s a pretty town but it’s just a small country town with wineries. Once you’ve seen one winery you’ve seen them all. Lol. Tuesday I will food prep for work and do my housework.

Have you got any plans coming up?

Re: I can’t cope

Oh! @Captain24 Makes sense. It's funny how parents remember you like something 20 years ago and still think you like or dislike the same thing.

30 years ago, I hated chocolate. But now, I put my hands on anything chocolatey!

School Holidays have ended here in VIC. Kids go back tomorrow.

It seems like that in many touristy areas - people come and go. I guess that when the town makes money?

It's like me going to the country towns for a drive last week. Nothing interesting, but once I've been there once, I can say I have and then move on 🙂

Re: I can’t cope

Tourism does bring a lot of money to town @tyme. It’s full of tourists every weekend. I do get having a look and checking out the area it is worth it but like you said once you’ve seen it it’s done.

We have another week of school holidays left. If school goes back this week then I will give my best friend a call tomorrow! Thanks for letting me know..

So what did you decide for dinner?

In response to: Re: I can’t cope

Re: I can’t cope

Dinner - nothing fancy.

I had biryani in the afternoon (cooked by a friend), so tonight I just had 'instant' udon noodles with spinach - nothing special.

I actually don't like biryani @Captain24 - but I ate it because it's like a speciality dishes for birthdays and functions (for indians). So I felt obliged to eat it seeing it was the kid's 10th birthday.

Sometimes, i guess we do things to make others happy.
