A sense of normality
How I crave it
A sense of normality
How I long for it
A sense of normality
Yes
A sense of normality
To soothe my soul
A sense of normality
To soothe my soul
Holding on
For normality
To soothe my soul

I am finally feeling normal "talking" to people on this forum, others might think that is mad, but I am getting past caring about silly narrowmindedness.
my soul saying hello to your soul @Happyness

I had to deal with loss too .. my story is around on the forums but you can ask me questioons of you want.
I cried buckets everyday for about 12 years then it slowly tapered off. I could not stop the flow ..sometimes it was highly fluid, snot and the whole catastrophe and others it was contained a little and a slow drbble or single tear. Often my face was was so marked by them or the puffiness etc it was embarrassing but I had small kids so had to do the shopping do the school runs regardless.
Re praying .. I didnt pray for my soul per se ... i just prayed to understand life ... and death .. which also included other souls... whatever happens to us is never in isolation ... I have been involved and can see benefit in different faith traditions .. also meditated and done yoga but the christian liturgy has helped me deal with the deaths in my family. . you have to what is right for you.
More on the tears thing ... I was a church organist when young .. the first time someone handed me a mike to lead the singing about 10 years ago .. I was overwhelmed with tears and just continued to do my job hoping none but the first few rows could see. I wasnt a "hit" in that congregation, but no-one was nasty. Then 5 years later a sang in a more prominent choir in the city ... but still the tears would periodically overwhelm me ... it was confronting as it was a "bells and whistles" church. 2 ladies who knew my story told me not to walk off the sanctuary but just to stick it out ... now mostly the tears do not flow anymore on the sanctuary or off except for clear triggers.
Further some of the loss/tragedy in my life was caused by unacknowledged abuse of my father .. so the church was implicated ... and I am on thelist to speak to the Royal Commission ...but at least I have lasted long enough to understand the sereies of benefits in a human way rather than just pathologising everything in my family. One lady who works for the Archbishop said God was looking after me ... but they were distinctly uncomfortable with me ... I have left the choir to give us all a break on the religion question .. but am still welcome back and "drop in" occasionally.
Yes@HappynessI have had a lot of tears to deal with .. I can only say they have dried up a bit ... please continue to share if you find it helps you.
Others will have other stories.

Dear @Appleblossom and @Happyness
Thanks for writing @Happyness
Hey @Appleblossom
You have changed so much since you have come online......writing from a layperson like myself.
You make sense and before you wrote.....like all cracked.
You are extremely um.....you know.....intuitive.
Im at my husband's place, he's taking me out to breakfast tomorrow. Im paying for him to have a haircut tomorrow morning and then...he's taking me to an Oriental restruant for breakfast. His rent of his unit has gone down so he's feeling very rich.
Rents in PErth are all determined on how the miners are going.

@Happyness Did you ever like Jimmy Barnes Singing like a choir girl ... ? or Beds are Burning
or Paul kelly or Little River Band ... I once walked past the lead singer from Rose Tattoo ... that was in a different type of public house ..not a church ... I'm not much of a drinker and everybody thought they had to educate me, the church organist and show her real music ... eyes roll ....
Hope you are doing as ...ok as possible
@PeppiPatty
I havent changed at all ... I think it is just the onion skin s peeling off .. this is always the way I have been and thought and written ... but there are hairy difficult things to get past that first layer ... so many taboo topics
I am VERY Glad your other half is feeling rich ... I teach my kids to feel rich with a dollar in their pocket ... but dont get me going on Miss G Rhinehart....
I did geology remember ...I care about the rape of the earth more than making a mint.
@Happyness
I am always conscious of getting back to the thread topic .. I sense your isolation has been quite extreme ...I have been lucky in comparison .. please keep posting
