Something’s not right

Still broken, still safe.

Still broken, still safe.

I don't know what to do. I'm suicidal around the clock with random good times when I get a break and it seems that all is well. I can't find help anywhere. There is an array of supposed helpful places and numbers to call, but nothing that helps me develop in a connected way with people in the real world. I'd love to meet with people such as are here, and all help each other just by being supportive while we get to know each other. Talk about problems when we need to, and just talk about anything at others. Develop it into a real world friendship group. There's plenty of things out there but nothing that actually helps. I guess I can't be helped. The people I trusted simply couldn't be trusted. None in the real world.

Some might suggest seeing a psychologist or another psychiatrist, and I may, but it won't help. It's would be like having an operation on an operation which has already been done to inflict greatest damage, without recourse for correction. My ex-psychiatrist left no room for recovery. They look at me and I see them thinking—'can't help, won't help', and I just give them more money for no service. My current GP has adjusted his responses to me in line with the psychiatrist's report, not the person sitting in front of him. He is playing being kindly, but it's not real. If he wanted to help me he would offer to do so instead of letting me fumble along. He knows the resources I could connect to and I'm sick of going around in circles trying to find out for myself.

I made my Will two years ago, wrote my good-bye letters, got everything in order and constantly update them. Each time I prepare to die, I reach out for help, am helped, and limp on a little longer, time after time. There's always something I'd like to watch on television in a couple of days, wait for the replacement cushion for my new sofa which is taking 16 weeks, will I get my eyes tested or won't I be around to collect my new glasses? Or how to go about it.

I don't want to die but my life is less than existence. It's hell. Everyone is just waiting for me to die. I don't want to be saved but don't know how to be sure of it. Why aren't there ways for me to function in this world which are compatible with meaningful life? I think a drop-in centre might be helpful? I'm just so tired of searching.

I don't know what I want from my fellow forumites, just respond in some way, please. Sending best wishes to everyone and hoping all are well and doing alright.

I hope I haven't spoiled anyone's day. This is my problem, not yours. I just need to know there are people who understand and actually give a damn.

Still safe.

Re: Still broken, still safe.

Well, it's tomorrow as I write @tyme and it's another day. I'm doing well this afternoon after an interesting day, very well. Thank you for your concern. Our ability to recover never ceases to amaze me. We are amazingly resilient beings and I'm back on board once more.

Sending best wishes to you.

Re: Still broken, still safe.

Hello @RedHorse. It's been a long time since we corresponded. How have you been? Have your circumstances improved or have you simply adjusted to making the best of them? I have checked in on you from time to time to see if you were still connected. I hope you are doing alright.

I have had a day like I have never had before. And to be honest, hope I never have again. Dealing with police in a family matter is dreadful. I'm disgusted with my family. Anyway, moving on. Yesterday I didn't think I could keep going but this afternoon, after the dust settled, I am feeling better than I have for a long time.

Anyway, must think about food. Yesterday was nearly food-free but back on board today and must eat. I send my best wishes, take care. ❤️😊

Hi History Lover

Wow, glad you made it through. Amazed you joined a class.
When i was searching for things, our local city council website has a section called Active Parks.
The do during the school terms, GOLD programs (Growing Old Living Daneroulsy) lol for people over 50 and some over 65. They are scattered through the suburbs. Hence one free yoga class, let me to a fab teacher that did seated yoga. Seeing my difficulites with normal yoga, I did seated yoga. I do it once a week, at home one on one with yoga teacher, modified for me instead of seeing and exercise physiologist or physio (they suggested Hydrotherapy lol). MyYogability is a business helping disabilties. I keep an eye out and search for things to do. In time things I need find its way.

Glad you ventured into a new intersest. Everyday routine needs a random treat or something different to add add a bit of spice to life etc. 7 years ago, the program for school holidays, I did a circus class lol a few kids with parents. Oh it was hard work and tiring but fun, Learnt my hips didnt wiggle like a 10 year old doing the hoola hoopes. Juggling well its easy with one or two balls,, but three was a nice new challenge, with balls on the ground haha. Its was fun and random.
Also local Libraries have workshops and seminar too, my local one did a 2 hour session on Books in History that were banned. So interesting, some common books that are classic's now, once was not acceptable. Fascinating stuff (Animal Farm, Lady Chatterly Lover, some in the US tried to ban would you believe Harry Potter haha but that didnt happen.

Reminds me, that last week I went to our local and did lawn bowls with food van with my brother for fun a random thing to do. You have lifted my spirits today by responding and reminding me of some things I have done and those days I have ventured out etc. Thank you ❤️

Re: Still broken, still safe.

@NatureLover Yesterday I was at my lowest ebb ever, but it took what at first sight seemed like another blow when I was down to give me greater strength than I have had for a long time.

I can only say, what a team we have here. I am so grateful for all the assistance everyone has given me over the past two years. I wouldn't be here without you all.

I'm doing well. Thank you. Sending best wishes your way. Take care.❤️😊

Re: Still broken, still safe.

So pleased to have lifted your spirits too @HeartSpace as you have done for me. It only takes a little human interaction sometimes and a whole new day appears.

I am pleased you are trying all of these new and different things too. Life can be so humdrum when we don't investigate different things. So wonderful that you have ventured into areas so few of us would dare—a circus class, no less! Did they sign you up? You sound very adventurous with all of the things you've participated in. Good on you. Life is meant to be lived, isn't it?

Take care of yourself @HeartSpace. Thank you for your concern for me. I'm doing well this afternoon. I hope you are too.❤️

Re: Still broken, still safe.

Hey there @Appleblossom. Funny thoughts about worrying about picking up our glasses, isn't it? Or missing an upcoming television program. GOD! The stupidity of it all! And then we go from feeling that this time is it and another trauma overlies those already amassed and we are back on board again. There certainly must be something to be said for riding it out, although it certainly doesn't feel like it at the time.

Pleased you had some fun at the supermarket today @Appleblossom. Take care and thank you for your kind words and support. Cheers.

I'm back on board everyone but just wanted to send a big thank you to you all for being there when I was at my lowest ever ebb. I'm now doing fine, again. Back to plodding on. Cheers @everybody. Love you! ❤️
