Hi @Fluttershy1
I'm not a big impulse shopper but I always make sure to only spend what I can afford if I do go shopping and to make sure what I'm buying is something I really do need and require; not just something to make me feel happy or better about myself in the short term. I've learnt that shopping to make myself feel good isn't healthy for my mental health as it only helps in the short term and doesn't solve my problem/s which I do need to work through in the long term. If anything, shopping for me has to have a purpose and if it's to make me me feel good or to avoid something, then I tend not to participate in it. It doesn't end well for me otherwise, I'm afraid.
Why you ask? Is that something you want to do? Can you distract yourself by doing something else that will help you long term, like maybe listening to music or getting creative? Anything besides shopping might help.
