Something’s not right

so low

so low

feeling so so low. not communicating well, not functioning well but still somehow pulling on the armour to face work, be a mum. crumbling to dust inside, reserves are gone. i know it, and recognise it and im so angry at myself and feel so guilty that im back here. i just have fail at life on repeat.

trying to focus on the self care stuff, the exercise, fresh air, eating, but dragging myself through fire to do it. nothing seems to be making a dent at the moment. i need sleep most of all but seems thats notup to me, even with light meds.

so over this never ending cycle.

Re: so low

people tell us one day at a time. The reality is one moment at a time.
try not to pressure yourself. There is enough outside without our adding to it.
keep talking. keep sharing.

Re: so low

hi @Rick

definitely one moment at a time right now. i'm feeling so physically ill today, tired, flat, head feels full of cotton wool etc. ugh. have ticked a few things off the list. but so much more to get done. in a spinning out anxious zone but it will somehow come together tomorrow.

i'm not looking forward to the five hour bus trip into the capital city though ugh! but the kids are so excited. my daughter isnt, shes suddenly so anxious about me being away i feel so guilty, though i know she'll be fine and in good/safe hands while im away. all these back and forwards thoughts dont really help anything. right for this, wrong for that, did well for this child but didnt get to that child that lesson. every positive i manage to see i find 10 negatives for! not sure why i do that..

so i guess i better move on down that list. start packing kids stuff.

Hi @Former-Member

How are you travelling?

Re: so low

Hi @NikNik I am home from camp. It was exhausting but worth it for the kids to get to do something so special. A few big issues to deal with though.
Sigh but mostly ok

Re: so low

Hi @Former-Member,

Glad to hear you are mostly ok 🙂 Camp does sound exhausting!

Unfortunately, you've just missed @NikNik! But I'll leave a little note letting her know that you responded. She'll be glad to hear from you.

I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend planned! (is there such a thing when you have kids?? probably not!).

All the best 🙂

Re: so low

Write a list of all the things you need to do @Former-Member then prioritise them. If the one with the highest priority overwhelms you then pick the easiest one to achieve and start onn that one. Starting is often the hardest part. Once you've started you should find it easier to finish. Then you can cross it off the list or mark it with a star 😉

Looking at the big picture is overwhelming. By breaking it down in to parts I find getting things done a lot simpler. Remember KISS -Keep it simple sweetheart.
Take care 💕🎶

Re: so low

Hi @Former-Member,

it was good to read the camp went well. Been thinking about you. I know you have so much on. The only way I can cope at the moment is if I don't look too far ahead, I'm just trying to stay focused on just the next hour. If I look more than a day ahead I worry and panic. I know you probably know this but thought I'd write it just I case it helps. Thinking of you and hoping you have a few moments of peace. Sending hugs💜😊

Re: so low

@Former-Member I'm sorry to hear that. It can be so hard when we have so much on our plates!!

Great suggestions @Kurra and @Former-Member. Maybe a combo of both would work well? Writing down a priority list and then just focusing on one at a time, small achievable goals. Breaking bigger tasks down into smaller ones if necessary.

Then making sure you can schedule breaks and "me" time when it gets too much?

Try to be kind to yourself @Former-Member. We are here if you need.
