Welcome and getting started

Introduction

Introduction

Hi guys I am new here but just skipped over introducing myself and threw myself straight into the forums so let's rewind a minute.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar Affective Disorder in 1990. It changed my life and not in a good way. My mother said "now you will never do anything with your life" and my Aunt said "we should put her in an institution". It was right then that I decided that I would live the best life I possibly could with this illness. I since met and married my husband and we had 3 gorgeous children who have all now reached adulthood. I have been in and out of hospital a lot since around 2008 and somewhere along the way had BPD added to my diagnosis. I enjoy art and crafts, playing computer games and watching tv. I was working with a psychologist and we were going to work on childhood trauma as I grew up in an abusive household but I kept getting sick so we are currently on a break. Not sure if I want to go back to therapy at this point in time. Not sure what else to add so I will just leave it here. Feel free to ask questions x

Re: Introduction

@Anastasia @Sorry I wasn't exactly exited.

I'm losing years fighting a battle that I'm not winning.
all I do is try to find ways to run away from everyone.

but thanks for saying hi, sorry I'm not exactly the best person to be around.

Re: Introduction

No need for sorry, I feel that way too at times. I'm sorry you do too. Well I am pleased to meet you and I look forward to getting to know you lovely 💕

@Ybother

I like your name except I read it as "I want to bother" 🤗

Re: Introduction

@Anastasia @Well I bother lots of people, but I'm just tired, very tired.

my happiness comes in the form of food parcels from the salvos, and occasionally from my university Counseler😔

honestly I live in my room because it hurts less to not shine pain on other people.

my highlights for the last 24 hours was pretending my mother was talking to me last night in bed.

it's a thief I live with that steals my happiness, like bread from the counter as no one is looking, just to feed and grow stronger on the back of someone else's life

Re: Introduction

@Anastasia aPS I should change my name to black mold, as it resembles the poisonous as noxious environment in which it thrives, causing only sickness to whom that dwell within its presence.

Well the time has come, I feel to much damage has been caused, it's time to give up on my life and go back to dads.

it's not worth hanging around feeling like a punching bag, I should have just stayed home 5 years ago and never gone anywhere, I was happier just being a housewife for dad.

I will give up on university and believing that I'll ever find happiness again, somehow I think it's better just not to even try now.

I'm too hurt

@Exoplanet

Hi I am calling you to this random thread of mine to ask you for a favour. Could you please arrange a story? It's Shaz51 birthday in real life tomorrow and she is our Christopher Robin in our virtual writing of letters thread. You are so very good at weaving a story that I was wondering if you would weave a surprise birthday party for her? I don't know how many candles she needs but I know she enjoys a glass of wine. She lives with her husband who has MI and her mother. She lost her house in fires 7 months ago. Could you please let me know if and when you get this and whether or not you can do it please? This is super important to me - thanks xxx Eeyore

Hi @HenryX

brought you back over here to have a more private conversation with you. Regarding your posts on I think was the bipolar thread. If others are reading this conversation you are welcome to participate too. I just am unsure what I want to share in such a public place.

HenryX here is my question. Do you think that therapy with a clinical psychologist is worth the pain?
