Welcome and getting started

Introduction

Introduction

Hi guys I am new here but just skipped over introducing myself and threw myself straight into the forums so let's rewind a minute.

I was diagnosed with Bipolar Affective Disorder in 1990. It changed my life and not in a good way. My mother said "now you will never do anything with your life" and my Aunt said "we should put her in an institution". It was right then that I decided that I would live the best life I possibly could with this illness. I since met and married my husband and we had 3 gorgeous children who have all now reached adulthood. I have been in and out of hospital a lot since around 2008 and somewhere along the way had BPD added to my diagnosis. I enjoy art and crafts, playing computer games and watching tv. I was working with a psychologist and we were going to work on childhood trauma as I grew up in an abusive household but I kept getting sick so we are currently on a break. Not sure if I want to go back to therapy at this point in time. Not sure what else to add so I will just leave it here. Feel free to ask questions x

Hi @Ybother , i'm not sure if you are talking about the forum or other areas of your life but hope you are okay? It sounds like people are supporting you on here....At the moment i cant get on to the email so have to check in via the post. Please contact Lifeline 131114 if you are needing more support as this is not a crisis support service. Take care of yourself.

Re: Introduction

@traveller @Iv been manipulated and abused for 5 years.

honestly I think it was better when I was in my room with no one talking to me. I was actually happier, iv had everything in my life torn apart by this manipulative group of people.

I never wanted this experience, it's been awful the worst experience of my life.

becouse of these people I have been in and out of hospital countless times.

this never happened before this stupid system that was never going to work, because it was underhanded and disrespectful.

I expected more from the people I entrusted (the medical and social system) to be helpful not harmful.

I have news on the system that someone put together, it doesn't work it never was going to.
pushing drugs into someone against there will and knowledge is never going to work.

Re: Introduction

@Oaktree @I was ok, it's going to be a very long road back to good after such an awful experience.

I'm just glad it's over and there is a hope I can remove myself from it and move forward.
