Lockdown 4 - let’s get around each other

Hey everyone, we are in LOCKDOWN again! And I hate it. I'm really over it like everyone else.
But, we can't control it, we can't tell the government that we don't like it and they'll stop the lockdown so let's do the best we can.
Why don't we use this thread to support each other.

So I'll start us off with three things I could do before the end of the day to fill in time. They can big or small. You can also do absolutely nothing which is fine too.

- Take our kids for 1 hour of exercise as a family

- Go for a run to fill up the rest of the allocated exercise time (and get my personal time in)

- Build Fort with biggest small human child (already done haha)

How did the start of everyone’s weekend in lockdown go? Or rather weekend or less restrictions?

I am now a permitted worker as I work outdoors. Which is good

Hi all, I've just read through this whole thread...I feel for you, @LostAngel , as I've often gone hungry in my adult life due to finances 😞 How are you off for food now?

And I feel for you also @Judi9877 with your SI 😞

I'm in Melbourne, and am thankfully in a fortunate position of not minding the last 3 lockdowns - for myself, I mean, not for those who struggle and have lost businesses or the roof over their head. 😞 However I'm finding this lockdown harder, and I'm not sure why. I'm still allowed to go to my volunteer job, and we can do 2 hours' walking outside...I should be fine. I don't have toddlers, and I have enough toilet paper!

I'm going to spend some time meditating this afternoon to try and work out why I'm finding it harder this time around. If it's just boredom(?), I can work on it...but if it's my mental health sliding, it needs to be addressed somehow.

Hi team,

Hows every going this weekend? I've hit the brick wall - anxious, not sleeping, over worrying etc.

I've got a nasty cold that I can't seem to shake,'so the associated headaches and lack of sleep are taking its toll.

Luckily my team is playing this afternoon, so will

watch that and get to be a distracted by that.

Sorry to hear, @WIP ...sending you wishes for feeling better soon...am glad you have the distraction of the game this afternoon.

I too am hoping that lockdown won't be extended, as I know some people IRL who really aren't coping and have no income coming in. Plus people like you too, @WIP 😞

Everybody is affected in some way or another of this lockdown @NatureLover & some stories are heartbreaking. Lucky I have a roof over my head, enough money to buy food (although I'm bit more scarce than usual), not having to home school, or have a business where I have no idea when I get to reopen and earn income. I have MH issues & they are hard enough on their own.

i try to keep reminding myself, we survived 5 months, so surely this time will be more

short lived.
