Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Re: Daily Achievements!

I didn't realise the immense stress I was under until last night, when the stressors lifted.

Now, I'm forward-planning to see how I can manage my last semester of uni and work (Aug-Dec). I'm definitely looking forward to it. I haven't stopped studying since the day I've started school. I've raked up a huge HECS/HELP debt which I'm slowly paying off. Sometimes I wonder when I'll stop studying. To be honest, I love studying, but the assignments stress me out big time. So after this one, I MAY stop studying for a while...

Such is life. That's why we celebrate in between!

Re: Daily Achievements!

trick is not to think about the debt @BPDSurvivor I paid off my HECS like 13 years ago, but could have put money to better use in hindsight. I am still paying off HELP money 20 years after oh well

Good Luck with your studies

Re: Daily Achievements!

@TAB , I'm only thinking of my HECS debt because I have money I can contribute to paying it off. Otherwise I wouldn't bother looking.

Could you also explain what you meant by ' could have put money to better use'?

Re: Daily Achievements!

I felt good about paying it off , but in hindsight, could have beenpart of a house deposit eg @BPDSurvivor its only 2% interest plus I found out that if you dont earn enough in a year, and you have been working and getting deductions to pay it based on what you earned in a week, they pay it back, its a silly system

Anyway your call

well done with achievements

Re: Daily Achievements!

I found out by chance/ accident - When I phoned Bird Shop about a replacement Peachfaced Lovebird.

Goldfinches were available, for the 1st time in 18 months to 2 years (they had some).

My last Goldfinch died about 6 months ago.

They could not get any Goldfinches into WA, for over 18 months - Because they're trucked in from Victoria.

The Borders were Closed - So no Goldfinches for WA.

So I rushed off to Bird Shop - Bought several of my Favourite Colourful Dudes (Birds)....
