Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Awww, gorgeous, @Adge. I've been enjoying the wild birds around here. I think I spotted a female Blue Wren the other day, right shape, I think I recognised the call, but drab instead of bright blue like the males.

Achievements so far today...
Got out of bed at the proper time despite sleeping badly and it being really cold.... that counts, yes?
Set up a new smart phone to use for QR code COVID log ins. Have never had a smart phone before. Sub achievement is not getting so fed up with it that I left it at home? 😛
Short shopping trip accompanied by Hubby and aforementioned smart phone. Worked as it should at two businesses, didn't have enough mobile reception to register the other two.
Some weeding, gave Chookie some leaf litter to scratch through for insects.
Unclogged the washing machine filter so it would work and put a load on. Mopped up the water that poured out when I pulled the clogged filter out. (Front loader...)

Am pretty tired. If I can achieve hanging out that load and making tonight's dinner, I might call that good enough for today.

Hello @Adge

Would you title that "Golfinch on Almond Blossom"?

Lovely photo

Re: Daily Achievements!

Strange afternoon - In fact the past few day, full of unexpected Surprises (not all good ones).

I have been Offered the Census Field Officer Contract (Job) - Via email tonight (7.00pm AEST).

I need a Witness to Sign – There is no other way, to accept the Contract (Offer).

Has to be Signed Electronically (on Computer) by me + Witness (very Weird).

Very hard to get a witness (living alone) - especially electronically, cannot take a Printout Copy of Contract to someone to Witness (Sign).

I had virtually given up hope on this Job – As it has been over 5 weeks, since I passed the Identity & Police Clearance Checks.

Re: Daily Achievements!

well hoe youre not getting ripped off thru labor hire, these jobs used to pay ok plus paid training @Adge just take to post office or bank to get witness, just silly govt stuff, they will have a list of witnesses can use ask them / log on at library and as them to sign, how does witness sign? electronically I guess. Ask.

Re: Daily Achievements!

that may be below minimum wage sort of remember was half as much again years ago when employed direct by govt. @Adge looks like labor hire has it sewn up

something to do anyway guess

$24.80/hr (inc 25% loading) + Superannuation
Contract dates between 13 July 2021 and 1 October 2021

Re: Daily Achievements!

perhaps it could lead to something, even if not through official channels, like through people who are higher up. Sorry for sounding negative. @Adge

Re: Daily Achievements!

good morning fellow forum friends today I choose to achieve nothing or barely nothing, staying home again today, another self care care day ordered Maccas for breakfast, going to let myself be lazy, yes Ill shower and get dressed at some point soon,Ill not message or chase people up,especially after weekend and even yesterdays drama well that is the appointment with counciller which brought stuff up as well so today is lazy day, dont be in control of anything of anyone and stay put ao I dont keep reacting to people unessaserilly,Ill eat breakfast, shower,do the simple things, might even read a book,do food shopping online, watch Netflix, maybe just a phone call to one relative who isnt buggging me at the momment,as for special someone Im giving him space too,he hasnt left me but just giving him space,he ill talk when hes happy to talk,Ill just stay home and do the simple things and if anything major needs my attention today I will try my best to respond rather than react. sometimes you need a simple day to be left alone espescially when sometimes your family doesnt understand,if I need to talk Ill call lifeline, keep things uncomplicated give myself space to breathe and others space they need to breathe thats the plan for today Ill just see what unfolds ,I wont try to to control too much just try to let go for a while
