Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Some days not achieving much feels like a big achievement.

Today I went to the supermarket. It's nearly an hour drive to Woolworth's from home so the trip took 3.5 hours total. Was good to get out of the house for a while.

I made a foraging toy to put nuts in for my parrot. Now the days are getting shorter she spends more time inside. I don't want her to get bored.

Tonight I cooked ANZAC biscuits for my daughter in law who is sick with COVID. ANZACs are her favourite. Not sure when I can get them to her so sent her a photo. She's excited. I'll put them in the freezer until my next trip down.

Her reaction to the photo made me feel good.

Thanks for sharing @Scream58 😸✅ my mum used to bake lots of biscuits including anzacs . They were all moist when fresh. Used to keep biscuits in powdered milk cans to keep them fresh as the lids sealed pretty well

Good evening @Scream58 @TAB @Meowmy @MDT @soppykat @Appleblossom @Daisydreamer @tyme @Ugly_Trout @RedHorse @Dimity @Shaz51 @Former-Member @maddison @pinklollipop15 @Eve7 @Former-Member @hanami and all forumites here.

Hello and welcome @Ugly_Trout @hanami @soppykat 👋. I hope you enjoy this discussion thread like I do and so many others do.
@Daisydreamer thanks for the statistics update in this thread by the way. I’m a little stunned but happy and proud of having over 2000 mentions on this thread as I certainly didn’t start out to achieve this. I’m just so glad that you and other forum members are enjoying this thread and find some benefits from it.
@Meowmy @RedHorse @MDT @Scream58 well done on posting your achievements. I know things have been difficult at times for each of you so well done on posting👍🏻!

Thanks for posting your achievements everyone! I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while- life has been hectic and I haven’t been great mentally so I’ve limited myself on the forums. I’m hoping things are on the improve with my mental state so I’m going to try and be better here in forumland with posting my achievements. I feel like I have let the team down by not posting my achievements and that’s not a nice feeling to be honest. I’m sorry if I’ve upset anyone by not posting and being around. Like I said, I’m determined to make amends by posting more frequently as of now so stay tuned to my achievements!

Today- Monday- my achievements have been:

- Woke up

- Had a shower

- Ate lunch and dinner

- Completed a section of my crochet blanket

- Sewed up 2 sections of my knitted adult charity blanket

- Took a photo of my cat Mitz in her boat bed

- Dealt with a period of passive suicidal thoughts successfully by working through things in my head under the doona

- Didn’t self harm when I had a disagreement with my sister on the phone by choosing to do a Smiling Mind meditation app session instead as well as picking up my crochet hook and working on my crochet blanket whilst listening to music on my iPhone as well which worked really well and something I’m really proud of achieving today.
- Posted on the Re: Good Morning thread

- Helped a fellow forum member by responding to a discussion they had posted earlier in the week.

Once again, thank you everyone for continuing to post your achievements despite me being absent from here. You have made me really happy to know this thread kept going and I’m very proud of each of you who have posted. Keep those achievements coming and remember that anything can be an achievement if it means something to you and it makes you feel good about yourself☺️

Take care!

Judi9877☺️💐⭐️

@Judi9877

You don't have to apologize for not posting.

It sounds like things are really tough for you at the moment and you need time to breathe and work through it all. Well done on all your achievements.

This is a fantastic thread. I like that it makes me think about what I achieved, even if it's not much.
