Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Reaching out to a chat service sounds like a really good step @MDT. I might bring this conversation over to your new thread so you have a space for us to support you today should you want that

Re: Daily Achievements!

I might share some daily achievements here too 🙂

1. I have been working on helping my step son (4) do deep breathing when he is really upset. He is really starting to get the hang of it, and be able to calm himself when he is feeling big emotions. I feel really proud of him and myself for working through those moments together.

2. I woke up early today, and managed to get out of bed with lots of energy

3. I made a hair appointment for some 'me' time, after a very busy week

4. I got to speak with our amazing Community Guides last night, who always inspire me

@Judi9877

You have achieved heaps and are always cheery and inclusive on the forum.

I really appreciate it.

Finally did my fasting blood test.

Got 2 1/2 hours drive tonight and 2nd orchestral rehearsal.

Cant complain. Its a bliss week with so much music, but we work hard.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Today I took a radio silence day. Phone off most of the day.

I did some much needed maintenance on my African Violets. Discovered several have buds and will flower for the first time in a few weeks. I have about 15 in flower at the moment.

I spent quite a bit of time with my pets. Lots of pats and cuddles.

Did lots of colouring.

I stayed in my PJs so I wouldn't be tempted to go to the bottle shop and I didn't self harm although the urge was real.

I did some very overdue dusting.

Now the temperature is dropping fast so I've lit the fire.

Meeting with my Social Worker tomorrow.
