Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Good evening @Meowmy @oceangirl @TAB @LookingHopeful @Shaz51 @Wintersweet @MDT @Former-Member @Former-Member @tyme @Former-Member @Daisydreamer @frog @LostAngel and all forumites here.

@Wintersweet welcome👋! I’m so glad you’ve joined in here!
@LookingHopeful great job at visiting the library. What books did you borrow? I personally have trouble with losing books so now I tend to only visit the library to study for uni now.

@Meowmy I’m so glad you participated in a cooking session. What was on the menu?

Today - Saturday- I achieved the following things:

- Looked on my emails for uni stuff (am feeling a little stressed out with the upcoming assessments to be honest)

- Completed my 7th beanie for the charity I’m knitting for and took a photo of it to post on Facebook

- Celebrated Mitz (my cat) 5th birthday by giving her lots of attention

- Had a shower

- Took my meds

- Visited and commented the Sane forums

- Drove my housemate to the local dentist for a review of her teeth situation

Keep those wonderful achievements coming snd let’s continue to celebrate each of them, big and small🥳!

Judi9877☺️💐

Re: Daily Achievements!

Morning everybody! I'm starting my morning early today! 4:06 am here. I'll make porridge and a cuppa. Will then read (coping strategy for grounding myself). Will get ready for today's excursion and make picnic lunch, including set up hot water flask and coffee for picnic. Will ensure my electronic devices are fully charged so I can read during today's excursion. Will put on some music. Make a couple mugs of hot drinks before the outing. When I come home I'll do a few chores. Come back to the forums. Make dinner and then go to bed. Rinse and repeat tomorrow, whenever I wake up.

Re: Daily Achievements!

Well done @TAB especially when you said you have no energy from the booster, that's a huge effort for the day. Hope you are feeling better today!

@Judi9877 I got a couple of books 'crappy to happy' and 'the compound effect' I started one last night but whether or not I have the mental capacity to finish both of them is another story as if I am feeling too low I get teary reading these types of books.

And happy birthday to Mitz - it must be such a good feeling to have someone with you while you are at home ❤️

@Former-Member well done of your early morning, thats fantastic and you've already taken so many steps to set up your day.

I lost track of my mind for a minute then did a load of washing, went for a walk (and spotted a couple of wedge-tailed eagles causing a stir for all the other birds), vacuumed and mopped the whole house, took the bin out and wrote in my journal. Trying to keep occupied and take it easy. (easier said than done some days)

Re: Daily Achievements!

You fell in a literal hole?? @TAB

and not sure I could trust myself to cut my own hair. Haha. I haven’t had a haircut in a long time and there is only one hairdresser in this remote town so I’m thinking I’m going to need to do something.

Re: Daily Achievements!

oh, @TAB well that's a relief you didn't actually physically fall in a hole. haha I read that wrong.

Take it easy, I think I have used up my energy for today too. Such random highs and lows at the moment.
