Daily Achievements!

Daily Achievements!

Hi forum friends! I've decided to start a new thread on Daily Achievements because I suffer from depression as one of my mental illness and that means it's often hard for me to remind myself that I do actually things in my day, no matter how small they may be. I thought forumites could post here a daily achievement or 2 so we can remind ourselves that we have done something good each day. It can be as big or as small as you like. Just as long as what you did makes you proud and happy.

I'm tagging @roses @Bow @Shaz51 @BPDSurvivor @saltandpepper @Daisydreamer @Former-Member @Former-Member @Former-Member @TideisTurning @Former-Member @frog @Sans911 @outlander

in case you might be interested as well as anyone else who wants to join in!

So, to get this discussion started, I'll post my achievements today which are:

- I had a gorgeous cup of tea which helped me deal with some anxiety I was experiencing;

- I paid my car registration which was due today.

See what I mean about achievements? Mine may seem small or irrelevant to some people but to me, because I have depression, these are actually major in the scheme of my life. I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

But that's okay. My achievement is:

Re: Daily Achievements!

Good evening @BPDSurvivor @pinklollipop15 @LostAngel @BlueBay @Dimity @Shaz51 @frog @Daisydreamer and all wonderful forumites here. Congratulations on your achievements everyone!
As for the 1000 daily achievements posts, all I can say is wow and thank you! When I first started this discussion thread, I did it as a way of helping myself and others think about and recognise the things they do and accomplish each day, sort of like a gratitude diary if you like of sorts. The aim was to assist others, like myself, who have mental illnesses such as depression for example, recognise what they do and realise that everything they do, no matter how big or small, is an achievement and should be recognised and celebrated because often the littlest things take the most effort, especially if you're having a bad day mentally. I know this happens to me a fair bit and I know that sometimes, it really is hard coming up with things that I've achieved but writing them here and seeing what other forumite friends write down makes it all worthwhile as often, there will be similar things that each of us have accomplished and that adds to the connections and friendliness of this discussion post. I really enjoy seeing and reading each daily achievements post and thank everyone who has taken part over these many posts! You've made my night really special reading this message @LostAngel @pinklollipop15 @BPDSurvivor so thank you very much for letting me know this valuable and special piece of information!

So, onto my daily achievements for today- Monday!

- I completed my 9th square for my Self Care Squares blanket and then started a new one;

- I accepted my psychologists challenge and went to a shopping centre and then went inside it to shop at Target and then later, Spotlight for wool for my Self Care Squares blanket. No, I did not enjoy going shopping although I did get some wool reduced lower than the sale price and selecting wool was fun. It's just the crowds, people and lining up to pay for my items that wasn't fun and neither was circling the car parks looking for a car park. I'm now still yet to see how shopping can be deemed fun but at least I attempted and completed the challenge!

- I watched Home and Away on TV

- I spoke to my father on the phone

- I posted on the Sane forums!

Keep those achievements coming and let's aim for another 1000 posts! I wonder what other forum members have achieved today?

Yay 1000! @Judi9877

I've been quite overwhelmed of late and the only fix is keep taking small steps, any steps really.

This morning I've:

  • Had a shower
  • Put a load of washing out
  • Worked out what we're having for dinner
  • Had a short walk to clear my head a bit
  • Did a few physio stretches

Hi everyone here including@BPDSurvivor @pinklollipop15 @LostAngel @BlueBay

Well done on all of your achievements everyone! It's great seeing what you each notice as achievements and I'm so proud of you all👍🏻!

Today, my achievements were:

- Organising a furniture removalist to move the 7 or so heavy items to our new place on the 23rd

- Reflecting on why I had an argument with my housemate last night ( I felt out of control with the whole moving thing and couldn't handle what was going on but was too scared to admit it)

- Had spag bol from La Porchetta for dinner

- Worked on a crazy blanket for an adult recipient for a charity I knit for

- Posted on Facebook for something to do when I was bored later in the afternoon

- Spoke to my twin sister on the phone

Basically, a pretty ordinary day in my opinion!
