Moving forward

Moving forward

As Monday looms I have been trying to work out how to move forward. Today I started collecting things for my coping box (thanks @Crazy_Bug_Lady). I bought some of my fave chocolates to put in and have been gathering bits and pieces. Happy for any other suggestions as to what to put in. I think I may need one for the car too. I'm thinking I may copy some pieces of wisdom from this forum and print them up to add in.

I'm hoping that I get to write more on this thread than the struggle thread as time goes by. Please feel free to add how you are moving forward as well. 💜😊

Re: Moving forward

No @Former-Member, your son's girlfriend bringing home another guy, to sleep, with grog. Not on! Say no for your son. Your house, your rules. They can go to a motel if they want to carry on. Can you say no? You obviously are pickingbup some alarm bells

Trying to think what @Faith-and-Hope would say with her baby dragons. I think you know @Former-Member

Re: Moving forward

I would be inclined to agree with @Former-Member and @Former-Member, @Former-Member. She has to be responsible for her own decisions. If the only thing holding her back from cheating on your son is your presence... Is she worth fighting for? 😞

What a terrible position you're in @Former-Member!!!

Re: Moving forward

It's hard, as a younger person, I'd go out drinking and crash the night at people's places all the time. Even friends, partner's places. But by 20 I'd moved out of home and was living my own life.

If she is going to cheat, she's going to do it, no matter what the opportunities are.

But you also don't want to be in the position of 'allowing' that to happen.

Can you message her and tell her that he needs to find somewhere else to stay?

Re: Moving forward

Its good you're planning to go away, for you. Can you set down the rules, tell her you trust her / them, tell her she'll be evicted she can't do tge right thing. And then, go for your break? The boundaries are made clear, shes responsible for the fallout later. That's just me but I don't have experience like others. Ya have to be strong.
Hey, nice to see you @Former-Member

Re: Moving forward

Oi vay @Former-Member that is a tricky one.
Personally my feelings are that if they're a couple, son and girl living in your home, it's not appropriate to bring a previous crush to your home when he's away. I would be inclined to withdraw your permission given that you're going to be away.

I knowthat sounds harsh but..... 💕

Re: Moving forward

@Appleblossom, might have some good tips. But I think she's away with family herself.

Re: Moving forward

Yep, as Kurra said, tell her you wasn't thinking straight before and had second thoughts.

Re: Moving forward

Leave it with ya @terj, gotta move on but take a deep breath, centre yourself, and listen to your higher self, you know what to do. All the best. Let us know how it goes. 💜 💕
