Moving forward

Moving forward

As Monday looms I have been trying to work out how to move forward. Today I started collecting things for my coping box (thanks @Crazy_Bug_Lady). I bought some of my fave chocolates to put in and have been gathering bits and pieces. Happy for any other suggestions as to what to put in. I think I may need one for the car too. I'm thinking I may copy some pieces of wisdom from this forum and print them up to add in.

I'm hoping that I get to write more on this thread than the struggle thread as time goes by. Please feel free to add how you are moving forward as well. 💜😊

Re: Moving forward

Hey @Faith-and-Hope. Crisis overted for now. Breaking down in tears helped. It's often so hard to me to cry that when I can it helps release a bit of the pressure. I think you worked out what I was unable to. I had become so over full with guilt and much of it turned to shame about not being there for everyone that it was beginning to feel like it was easier not to be around at all. So thanks for helping me release some pressure. Think I'm ok for now. My sons team was winning at three quarter time but lost in the end but he played his best game of the season. You will have a new child with D3 when school is over. Mine already has improved heaps and it's only been three weeks since we gave up school. Today it shone through that he's coping better with life. Now we just need the counselling to give him the resilience he needs to start TAFE. I hope your day is ok. I'd love to hear about it when you have time. 💜😊💐

Re: Moving forward

Hi @Former-Member .... 😊🌷

I picked up this post on the run this afternoon. Thanks for letting me know you're okay ....

Sounds like it was intense at your son's game, in a good way .... sorry to hear his team lost, but it sounds like he has been outdoing himself each week over the one before .... you must be proud of him ... ❣

Yes, I believe D3 will be a different girl in another couple of weeks when the pressure comes down .... in that sense I am very glad everything is due ahead of the last few weeks of school, including a school holiday break. It means that this pressure won't be there right up to the last few days of the school year ... specially as the wedding is only a few days after that. She will have time to relax in between finishing the academic work and the graduation week. Sooooo glad she's not doing exams ❣

Have to prepare dinner here ... will be back later ....

🌷💜

Re: Moving forward

Shout out to @Former-Member, how are you now? I've calmed down a bit. Feeling more sad than anything yet. I hope you've found somewhere ok to settle in your mind for the day too.

@Faith-and-Hope Today I found myself using the words heart-sore when my healthy adult finally kicked in. I was close to doing something stupid but then I realised my son leaves first thing in the morning and I couldn't do anything stupid for him to miss this trip and then the shame and sadness kicked in. I'm ok now but so wish I didn't have to experience so many extremes in emotions over such short periods. I think the sadness will hang for a bit which of my emotions isn't the worst right now. I'm not sure @Former-Member if you feel the same as this.

I really hope your day has been ok both of you and thanks for jumping in today to support me. 💜😊

It's ok @Kurra. Just saw your comment on the inspiration quote. Today you took the high road - face everything and rise. I took the low road - forget everything an run. I'm not trying to dwell on it, it's just how it is for now. I appreciate your care and support though 💜😊💐

Re: Moving forward

Yes I like "heart sore" too.

@Former-Member I have extreme and highly changing emotions ... and it is very wearing ... but calling it ... just that .. and not over identifying with them (all the different states) helps me manage it better ... I could say to my psychologist today ... ah the usual ... which meant my internal roller coaster rider ... take a pause and then start to talk .. it gives me a little ironic distance on myself.

Some of my big concerns of the last year .. are slowly ironing themselves out ...
