As Monday looms I have been trying to work out how to move forward. Today I started collecting things for my coping box (thanks @Crazy_Bug_Lady). I bought some of my fave chocolates to put in and have been gathering bits and pieces. Happy for any other suggestions as to what to put in. I think I may need one for the car too. I'm thinking I may copy some pieces of wisdom from this forum and print them up to add in.
I'm hoping that I get to write more on this thread than the struggle thread as time goes by. Please feel free to add how you are moving forward as well. 💜😊
Wohoo on the job @TAB🎉🎈🎊🍻. Just had a quick read. I bet that helps a bit. Good luck💜😊

Re: Moving forward
Hi, that's my problem. After my ex ended our relationship, & we sold the unit, she moved & I moved. This was 10 weeks ago. I've tried to have a friendly attitude, as I have the dog occasionally, but she has no emotions, & has been cruel & nasty. I have fallen in to a deep depression, & was put on antidepressants 4 days ago. I am in tears a lot, finding it hard to work in my sales job, & the loneliness is devastating. She is in hospitality & hoes out with her friends regularly. Because if her nights & weekend work, I was happy to stay home & look after the small dog. Whenever spent a weekend together in 10 years, & because I work from home, I never made any true friends. I do have a son, daughter & grandkids as some support. I would like some advice on how to move forward, & have no contact with her. Anyone out there who has been through the same situation? I'm a young 64

Its the best thing when siblings have that collaborative and creative experience ... @Former-Member
I am putting on a face ... kids will be home soon .. but I am in crisis again and took 2 prn ... feeling very angry ... did not sleep ... stayed away from current choir ... as they were rehearsing 'coincidentally' at the same place as old choir ... nup ... the old choir thing did not work out as I hoped ...
a madam from Berry Street ... with delusions of grandeur and high standards which include undies from David Jones and other unnecessary excesses on taxpayer funding .. has asked me not to come tonight as the poor bully who is just gorgeously blunt might be distressed at the sight of me ...
ropeable might be an understatement ...
thanks for asking.... this is such a new experience for me to have people .. who even bother to ask the basic questions

Re: Moving forward
Hi @Pez7,
so sorry to hear that your having such a tough time. Break ups are so challenging. I'm in a different space in that my ex and I tried to stay best friends but because of our really unusual situation it wasn't healthy for me to do so. I've now almost cut ties but I still have to separate the house and things yet but can't face it just yet. Moving forward is hard when that person was your life. I don't have a social life as such but have a close friend I catch up with to watch a movie with about once every three weeks. I don't work yet either. I am guessing that it might be an idea to look into over 50s clubs or other interest clubs at the local community centre. I've looked the clubs but I'm not ready yet for that kind of social engagement. I know it seems weird but much of my social life is currently on here just chatting to people. I have young adult and teenage children which keep me busy still. I'm sorry I can't be of much help but feel free to keep chatting if that helps. Hopefully others can jump in and offer suggestions as well. Take care💜😊

Re: Moving forward
Gosh @Appleblossom, that sounds horrible. Andcthey wonder why we withdraw from life. This is the very thing (fear of) that stops me scratching back my life. Any wonder you're angry, its an assault on your self-esteem. How dare they!!! Time to pull out the 'coping box' forget them & be your own best friend. Hugzz!
Can you walk for a while, or will playing your music get you through this .... ?
Feelin' for you sooo badly ❣
Hugs n hugs .... 💜💐💜💐💜💐💜

Re: Moving forward
I joined a choir ... I asked some one to be calm in my personal space ...choristers sing close together ... that is being disruptive ...
so I did the right thing and doped myself up and moved on and out ... good girl Apple ... it happened a year ago ... and I stuck it out til about March then left, nicely, without a scene ... given the flick again by social bullies cos I wasnt cheerily chatting about my latest overseas trip ...but now I want to make a big scene that they will never forget.
